BEING A WOMAN IN MEXICO (ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL)

I was born in Mexico and have lived here almost all my life, today I want to tell you what it is to be a woman who likes to travel and be independent in Mexico, although we have all heard about the femicides, disappearances, violations that have arisen in the country in recent years, is something that saddens me a lot, as women are devalued and humiliated, just in the last year there were more than ** 12 thousand femicides ** and things remain the same, as if those lives did not matter , as if we were disposable.

In recent years we have heard more and more about violence against women, but we have also raised our voices, with protests, poetry, education, festivals, we have united with each other, to protect ourselves, to give us courage and to let the world know that our lives matter and that here we are and here we will continue, that today more than ever we are united and we want to be respected.

Now, being a woman in Mexico, if you have followed my past blogs have realized that I like to travel and not all the time there is someone who wants to go with me, but that has never stopped me I have done and undone myself, I have jumped of waterfalls, swimming with turtles, gone to the jungle, climbed mountains and everything by myself, because the fact of being a woman will not stop me, because there is no fear, because I am one more being in this world that has rights and deserves to be respected.

This was the first time I hitchhiked in Chiapas, a truck took me from a small town to Palenque.

This is one of my favorite places in Mexico, the Huasteca potosina, a place full of waterfalls, trees and giant rocks, I will tell you about this magnificent place later.

And since I'm not afraid to continue doing what I like, my friends and family always ask me how I do with the country in the situation it is in? I believe that more than anything is about being careful, here and in China, whether you are a man or a woman, we can not stop doing things out of fear, fear will always be there, you just have to know how to take care of yourself, respect others and oneself.

ESPAÑOL

Yo nací en Mexico y he vivido aquí casi toda mi vida, hoy quiero contarles lo que es ser una mujer a quien le gusta viajar y ser independiente en México, si bien todos hemos escuchado sobre los feminicidios, desapariciones, violaciones, que se han suscitado en el país los últimos años, es algo que me entristece mucho, como las mujeres somos desvalorizadas y humilladas, simplemente en el último año se registraron más de 12 mil feminicidios y las cosas siguen igual, como si no importaran esas vidas, como si fuesemos desechables.

Durante los últimos años hemos escuchado más y más sobre la violencia hacia las mujeres, pero también hemos levantado la voz, con protestas, poesia, educacion, festivales, nos hemos unido unas a las otras, para protegernos, para danos valor y hacerle saber al mundo que nuestras vidas importan y que aquí estamos y aquí seguiremos, que hoy más que nunca estamos unidas y queremos que se nos respete.

Ahora, yo siendo una mujer en méxico, si han seguido mis blogs pasados se han dado cuenta que me gusta viajar y no todo el tiempo hay alguien que quiera ir conmigo, pero eso jamás me ha detenido he hecho y deshecho yo sola, he saltado de cascadas, nadado con tortugas, ido a la selva, escalado montañas y todo yo sola, por que el hecho de ser mujer no me va a detener, por que no hay miedo, por que soy un ser más en este mundo que tiene derechos y merece ser respetada.

Esta fue la primera vez que me fui de ride en Chiapas, una camioneta me llevó desde un pueblito a Palenque.

Este es uno de mis lugares favoritos en México, la Huasteca potosina, un lugar lleno de cascadas, árboles y rocas gigantes, ya luego les contaré sobre este magnifico lugar.

Y pues yo no tengo miedo de seguir haciendo lo que me gusta, mis amigos y familia siempre me preguntan cómo es que lo hago con el país en la situación en que se encuentra? yo creo que mas que nada se trata de tener cuidado, aquí y en china, seas hombre o mujer, no podemos dejar de hacer las cosas por miedo, el miedo siempre va estar ahí solo hay que saber como cuidarse, respetar a los demás y a uno mismo.
