Young girls in the rural areas are faced with the risk of teenage pregnancy, unsafe abortions, sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS, sexual abuses and harmful traditional practices.

Parents, teachers, guardians and the public need to be firm and coherent in messages they give to young people to reduce the risks of them being sexually exploited.

Regretably, most parents and guardians lack the time to spend with their children and wards, every growing child needs love, care and support of adults to develop well.
