Great post, I completely agree, the US prison system is just a transfer of tax dollars to private corporations who are contracted to build/maintain prisons. The entire never ending war on drugs is just a scam to keep this ponzi scheme going. In my opinion the only people that deserve to be in prison are people that commit violence against other people...
yes, the situation is backwards in almost every way presently :/
