Heredity

You can learn about people by observing their children, and vice versa. Heredity is the biggest argument I can offer against the theory of ‘free will’. Our parents have helped solidify our destiny.

There are good individuals. There are also good families.

Last evening my grandson participated in his first 5K run. He is 8 years old. It was a very chilly night for a 5K. He demanded to run when given the option to remain indoors and play video games. Consider where his stubborn determination comes from.

Sure, in most families, the genetic pot is mixed each generation. However there seems to be dominant traits that survive over time. Occasionally these traits combine into the creation of legendary individuals.

Take a moment to review your children. Can you observe that they are superior to you? This reality is the essence of understanding Darwin’s theory.

Now reverse your perspective and consider your parents and grandparents, Do you observe that you are superior to them?

Remember, there are no straight lines in nature. Idiots happen. Neither genius or idiocy can be blamed on the individual. We are a result.
