Hiking Tubb's Hill in Idaho!

in #life7 years ago

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

This morning seemed like a perfect morning to go for a hike. It was about 50 degrees and everyone was in school/work so it was low traffic. Perfect! The area we went to is known as "Tubbs Hill" in downtown CDA, near the casino/resort. my wife has hiked it before with my brother and sister in law, but I have never hiked it. We had talked about it previously, but it was too cold to do it. Today we woke up, had breakfast, packed lunch, and set out to finally experience it together. It was a beautiful hike! We took the main trail all the way around the mountain, which took about an hour and a half. When we got to the parking lot there was a trail map which quite a few trails we didn't venture down, so I'm looking forward to seeing those next time. One trail even says it has a 'suspension bridge'...I'm intrigued! This may turn into a morning routine, which I am perfectly fine with!

You picked a perfect day to hike Tubbs Hill!! I haven't done that for a couple of years. I've always crossed the suspension bridge, so am wondering how you managed to miss it. Ha ha! Perhaps the trails have been expanded since I was there last!

We really did! Oh really? We'll have to find it next time, haha! Anything is possible!

Did you happen to stop at the library there?

Not this time. We have been there a few times, but I think Sandpoint library is way better.
