Some people read the news in controlled by fear; while others read news for a whole different perspective. Just as you have done so.
I too am very baffled with the reaction of wearing a mask = sheep.
It boils down to the different mindfulness leads to different reaction; however, anything governed by fear is definitely not the way to go.
And yes, masks are becoming fashionable indeed.
