In our waking life, we are beleaguered by the crude reality of modernity, by our past and even by our self-doubt. The self is constantly under siege from a multitude of distractions and deceptions. One of the most tragic mistake we commit ourselves to is believing our programming to be the real Self. This illusion keeps our perception in arrested development.

Who is in control of your sense of reality?

Are you defined by your past? Is your mind in control of you?
Who is the real YOU?

Our social conditioning demands that we conform into preconceived roles. The artificial layers we adopt are convenient trappings which keep the status-quo alive and well. However, to conform is to sublimate our true inner-essence for the sake of phantoms. Existence occurs in the immediate present but we trap ourselves with our expectations, and our attachment to the past. To be awake means to let go of the artificial layers which take us away from the immediate now.

AWAKENING THE TRUE SELF IS AN ACT OF DECONSTRUCTION

To follow the path to your true inner-essence will not guarantee you happiness, popularity or wealth. The authentic path leads us down a road filled with obstacles and challenges. We do not become awake by sublimating our internal & external suffering. Embracing positive thinking for its own sake is a harmful crutch which beguile our personal development.

“The philosophy of positive thinking means being untruthful; it means being dishonest. It means seeing a certain thing and yet denying what you have seen; it means deceiving yourself and others.” - Osho

Experience life in all possible ways – good, bad, bitter-sweet, dark, light, summer, winter. Experience all the dualities. Don’t be afraid of experience, because the more experience you have, the more mature you become.

Positivity and negativity are complimentary elements that form the fabric of existence. To reject the duality of life is also a rejection of our true inner-essence. ( read more here )

Suffering can become an opportunity to rise above our attachment to untruths. Moments of desolating darkness detaches us from the outside world, and it brings our attention to the inner-world. The real challenge is navigating the Self through the inner-maze of confusion with honesty. Appeasing the mind with comforting lies only add unnecessary obstacles which corrupt our sense of reason.
