We´ve been to Paris quite a few times and heard so much about the nightlife like the underground jazz bars and Parisian brasseries but we could never find anything.  last year we decided to spend Christmas there it was extra amazing because we actually stayed on a houseboat on the river seine overlooking the Eiffel tower courtesy of airbnb and we actually found the best underground jazz bar just accross the road from Notre Damn, also Christmas is beautiful in paris the champs elysees is all lit up and theres plenty of xmas stalls and markets selling (vin chaud) hot wine

This is the boat we stayed in, but would not suggest it if you have a bad stomach as i got sea sick from the boats going past
