So what if it's International Women's Day?

The time is 17:10 (GMT +1) and I'm in a bus, headed for home after a long day and ranting in my head!

Treat us as you would a fellow male folk, they scream!

If only they knew how hypocritical that sounds. If only we could really understand what they clamour for!

Don't get me wrong; I'm all for treating humans with respect, decorum and with their humanity left intact after such interactions, but....

Wait a minute. How possible is a gender-equal society?

We live in a society where everything is wrong with the gender structure. From men being the reference point for strength, to women being the poster people for pity, one could be forgiven for thinking that calls for a gender-equal society are nothing but wishful thinking.

Today is supposed to be, and for the first of many to come this year, International Women's Day. Sometimes, we celebrate this day so many times, I lose count. I just wait for a new month, and a new Women's Day. However, today, I had a thought!

"You see this thing that everyone is celebrating Women's Day everywhere", I mused to myself. Why pick one day to celebrate the woman? I know that it's all a sentiment, but would it hurt us if we celebrated each other every day of our lives?

Being a human alone takes sheer willpower and an amazing amount of strength! In my home nation, snakes and monkeys are no longer food eaters, but now have a new craving for consuming money! We go through the rigours of life on a daily basis, and don't even celebrate the fact that we made it! To our left, Trump rants with Kim. Our right? President Buhari who hasn't fought corruption in his home nation is offering to help Ghana fight corruption! It's a miracle that we make it through each day!

The SBD has and is falling, and we still stand strong! The crypto world has taken a bit, and there are still survivors! Maybe we should have an International SBD Day! Look around you! The global humanitarian crisis has no end in sight! There's too much strength to be celebrated! We can't keep on feeling sorry for ourselves.

Today, I stand with all the humans who haven't pitched their tents with one gender! I stand with the other humans who don't even know what today is internationally recognized as. But, ultimately, I stand with those that celebrate life everyday, and the people that help them through life on a daily basis! Y'all are the real heroes!💓💓💓

But, then again, it's just a rant.
