5 Ways Ravers Survive Lockdown

in #life4 years ago

Hello lovely Friends,

Corona is forcing us all to stay home and forego our beloved raves. It is important, but sad at the same time. Missing the massage of the subwoofer, too? Maybe these 5 ways will help you to survive lockdown as a raver!

Keep on raving (at home)!🎧 🕉

1. Living Room Festival

Decorate your living room with ravers decoration like UV-posters, black light, lasers, party lights, garlands, and (string) art. Watch some festival videos of your favorite festivals and act on your TV, turn your subwoofer on, and dance wild and free. Seeing others dance and feeling the festival vibe through the videos helps you to dream about better days. If you live in a shared flat, invite your roommates and celebrate your own „Living Room Festival“. If not, celebrate on your own. Believe me, it may sound weird, but it's so much fun. Dance like nobody's watching gets a whole new meaning.

Paint your face and body with neon colors and dress as you are going to a real rave to make it even more authentic!

2. Become a DJ

Do you miss dancing to your favorite live acts? Use the time while lockdown and become a DJ yourself! Buy a DJ controller like a Pioneer, start your new career in your apartment, and become your next favorite live act. How could we ravers spend time better than doing our own music we can play at a party with our friends after Corona?

3. Video Call Rave

It's hard not being able to meet our lovely friends and fellow ravers and party with them. But how about uniting online and starting a „Video Call Rave“? Make a big playlist with all your favorite tracks, send everyone the link and start a Skype or Zoom Meeting with everyone you want to rave with. Listen to the same playlist and rave together in front of your laptop or computer! If we can't meet and go to parties, we start the parties in our homes! Corona can force us to stop meeting in real life and visiting clubs, but it can never stop us from raving!

4. Discover some new artists

One day it will be possible again to go raving in clubs or at festivals! Until this day, you can listen to some new artists you have never listened to before and discover new subgenres of our favorite style of music. When lockdown is over, you have a lot of new favorite artists to show your friends and to listen to live.

5. Watch your old festival photos and videos and listen to the acts you danced to with your friends

Memories are something beautiful – use them! Grab a cup of chai latte or a beer, make yourself comfortable and watch all the old photos and videos from festivals and parties you visited. While doing so, listen to the artists you danced to and feel what you felt right in these moments of pure bliss. Make your memories alive again in your head and dream of all the drops and amazing baselines, that made you lose control and dance like there's no tomorrow. Remember the most beautiful, touching, interesting, weird, and funny moments you experienced and think about all the amazing friends and people you met there. Honor the old raves while waiting for new unforgettable ones!
