The Paradox of Goals
Goals never fully materialise because once we reach them the purpose behind them begins to dissipate.
So we set new goals, and the process repeats.
It's the story of Sisyphus - forever pushing a boulder up a mountain.
A solution to this paradox is to give the obstacle or task purpose in of itself. To find intrinsic meaning in the act of pursuing our goals and not simply as a path to some destination.
Or as the saying goes, 'what stands in the way becomes the way'
Sisyphus was right, all goals lead to nothing. Only in Jesus Christ is truth lies truth and satisfaction.
Christ is a very powerful image of truth that I can certainly relate to.
But, it is my own experience that 'The name that can be named is not the eternal name.' In other words, the deepest truth cannot be spoken.
I am not sure if i totally understand what you ment. I agree in so far that truth is not final for me to achieve(at least on earth), but my personal experience is that there is actually a path of truth of which is also the path of life, where we can walk on. I found truth in Christ therefore i follow.
