Extra time: What sense is in it
Have you ever considered why there is an extra time in a football match? Why when each half of 45 minutes is exhausted, another extra minutes will be added?
The answers to these questions are not far fetched. As we all know, three things are bound to happen in a football match. It is either there is a win, loss or draw.
Now in a situation where a team is leading or the match is goalless in the normal time of 90 minutes. An extra time will be added with the hope that, a side Will produce a goal or an equalizer as the case maybe which will determine the outcome of the game.
It has been noted that, it is at the extra time that players add more effort so as to change the settings of the game. The effort together with the extra time enables either sides the chance to overtake their opponent or their opponent to them.
Relatively, you discover that most people have given up on their bright looking dream, plan, ambition, goals
Even an on going project. Simply because they have refused to give it more time, effort, patience, hope and believe that something positive will sprout from it and could be the decider and turning point of their life.
Just as the extra time is given with the hope that there will be a chance to change the rhythm of the game. So also that vision should be given time and effort, so as for it to overcome failure.
Also, many victories have been recorded where a side lost in the first leg of a match but came out victorious in the return leg. Similarly, failing at the first time does not mean you should relent, instead try it again for the second time but this time, use a different tactics and formation.
Just as those teams surprised the world. You too can surprise the world if only you give that project, dream, goal and plan more time and a re-branded effort. Do not give up until you hear the final blast of the whistle.
