Vlog 203: Cheetah bot reaching her limits shows growth on the STEEM blockchain in another way + Steem price.
I read a nice post from @anyx today where he talks about the Cheetah bot here.
If you don't know what Cheetah is:
Cheetah is an informative robot that might comment on your post. If she does, she will claim that she found similar content somewhere else on the web. This is because you likely copy and pasted some form of content -- whether it be your own or not. This is not an accusation of wrongdoing, but merely an informative comment for the reader.
For me one of the most positive things, besides other cool things, I got from his post is strangely this:
The second issue I am running into is the 20 second comment limit. There are 86,400 seconds per day, which means you can comment only 4,320 times per day maximum. Guess what? Cheetah has hit that limit on popular days!
With the amount of new people joining Steemit the bot is more busy than ever.
Therefor it also makes sense to me that the amount of posts which Cheetah reports on is increasing with a similar percentage.
It shows incredible growth!
And confirms the growth numbers we have been seeing lately in another way.

Cheetah might downvote you for stealing the content too and then whales would also start flagging you.

Yes this is sure an incredible growth we are recording. The awareness about steemit and steem is so incredible but will I say I am suprised? Not at all.
Steem blockchain is the only blockchain that rewards people for their gifts and talents. Why won't it be over populated when we have a lot of talents out there wasting away.
My writing skill was waiting away till I found steemit and so the growth is expected
Plagiarism is a problem, every new platform faces and have to deal with it somehow. I see many users C&P comments from quora and reddit to various posts on Steemit. 😴
The number of users are growing day by day which means more plagiarism because newbies come here when they see the insane amount of rewards many people are getting on this great platform.
They think that shortcut is the key and this is some "Get rich quick" scheme. 🔴 But they fail to understand that Steemit is much more than money paying arena. We don't have to fight and compete with each other. We should rather help each other and provide as much support and value we can.
Cheetah is doing a fabulous job to avoid this. And I hope minnows and new users will learn from this. Cheers @exyle and thanks for making this post.
the great thing about this is that now it forces devs to consider scaling, growth is good in many ways i've found, i certainly see 1 million registered accounts by the middle of the year.
I certainly looks like we are going towards that number this year.
In as much as cheetah's comment is not construed as an accusation of wrongdoing, contents creators must refrain from plagiarism of any kind. Extensive abuse of intellectual property rights might lead to litigations. The honorable thing to do is to acknowledge or give credit to the owner of copied works.
Yeah, steemit is growing up not gradually but fastly. This is the good thing that many new people approach this platform to contribute this community. I've got experience with Cheetha. This is really a informative bot and catching the CopyCats who earned money on someone's article without giving the actual resource.

well, with the increase number of people joining Steemit everyday and most of them join with the wrong notion that Steemit is a get rich quick without making much effort. Most of these people find it hard to sit down and write a creative post on their own. Am not surprise that cheetah do reach her limit.
But what I would say is for all the old people who are inviting new members to the platform to take small time and educate the new people they brought on the need for creativity, determination and commitment. When @joshuaetim told me about this platform, he took time to explain how those Values will help me here and am grateful to him. Have a beautiful day @exyle

Interesting re:@cheetah maxing out, I hope we see a duplicate account in the near future.
With regards to @dan selling, I have no issue watching that. On the stock exchange, the large sellers are not always visible (until they pass though certain %'s) but here, we can just watch and see where the selling pressure is coming from.
If/When @dan is done selling, and this visible 'iceberg' is cleared, we should expect the price to steady and probably rise to the next level. Just my opinion.
