Today I stood on the measuring machine from hell once more.

Project Steemfat 3 is still going well.

The gym has become a part of my weekly routine.

It's therefor not hard to go.

Bianca and I go about 5 times a week.

Today I stood on the measuring machine from hell once more.

It measures fat, weight, muscle mass ect..

The last time was somewhere in November 2017.

I gained 8kg since then but it's not all bad!

When the results came in the instructor said that I gained 5 kg of muscle and 3 kg of fat.

Which is not great but not bad either I think.

5 kg of muscle is a lot.

I just need to get rid of the fat.

At 124kg and 2 meters tall I have become a fairly big guy now.

Especially besides my nephew Sam.

According to the instructor it would be ideal if I could lose 7kg of fat while keeping my muscles.

Sadly losing fat equals suffering.

I'm not a big fan.

Thoughts of liposuction already crosses the mind, lol!

What I have noticed ever since I started gaining more weight is that I feel much better.

5-6 years ago I was around 89kg, very skinny and lean, and often sick (flu, cold).

I asked the instructor about it.

According to him if you have too little fat it results in a low resistance.

The ideal is around 18%-25% (depending on the person) if remember him correctly.

He is no doubt right although I somehow feel that feeling happy somehow adds to your resistance.

And my happiness probably equals fat.

A bottle of wine and a steak a day keeps the doctor away I think the saying is.

Steemfat 3, o man...soon it will be decision time :)

  • I don’t recommend you the liposuction.. I did it myself and it has bad pains and permanent scars cos the fat sucked could never make the same even level Under skin as natural.
  • if you enjoy eating fats I should share with you the amazing magic “ketogenic diet” !!! Which allow you to eat fats but no carb or sugar ... just search for it to understand the medical logic behind .. first I refused the idea when a friend told me about, but when I read I got very happy about it.
    Waiting your happy feedback lol
    Cheers

I think it's good to be a giant :)

My friend complains about having a big belly can this help him out?

@exyle, I wish I had your size. I am skinny and small. I have battled to add some weight for a very long time. Even took drugs to make me eat more and add more but it gave me nothing. On a scale, I weigh 45kg and I am probably as tall as your armpit. I guess the grass is greener on the other side this time; go figure.

Recently though, because I don't go out much, No job hunting or strenuous jobs, I am all steemit now, I have heard people say that I have fleshed out a bit. I don't care if it's fat or muscle, it just feels good to see as little of my ribs as possible.

It just comes down to eating more food :) I know ppl say but but but I eat lots but the truth is that no you don't eat as much as bigger guys do

That is true @cyberblock. I don't eat much. I try but most days I eat just once and I am quite picky. Maybe that is why but who knows. Some ofy friends say when I find a wife, I would eat better. 😂

Had similar struggles as you had(didn't take drugs though to eat more). 186cm and 60kg(~80 now) and was skinny for quite a long time and couldn't really gain any weight.

I did some convict conditioning and with the 2 extra meals per day(about 800-1000 calories), I could finally gain like 7-8 kgs instantly in the first month. In hindsight, 2 was too much. Try 1 extra healthy meal (protein + good fat + good carbs) every single day with some weight lifting or body weight training for a month and I'm sure you will see a difference.

It could even be a steemfit series.

hmm... weights did help some time ago. my biceps were quite underdeveloped until I did a bit on a dumbbell and the biceps took some shape.

I will try the food and see how it goes. Thanks @cryptosenpai

I'm happy to hear just that brother,

Going to gym is a good things, it is to keep the body in a good shaped and burn fat, getting more fat is not a good idea, you have to do something about that, you weight 129kg, that is a lot brother, are you an athlete?. Getting more thin I believe is always good idea because of old age, getting old as a robust man will not be that good.

Hello @exyle I think that the important thing is not how much more fat you have, but how much you feel good with your body and especially with your mind! Forget the weight and fat calculations unnecessary ... the important thing is that you feel good and serene in your mind. Continue eating steaks and drinking good wine or ice-cold beer. By the way in Italy it is said "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" (LOL) we read the next;)))

The ideal is around 18%-25% (depending on the person) if remember him correctly.

Ok, that's nice to know.

You need to be in a caloric surplus to gain muscle.
Just keep your protein intake high enough while losing fat.
This way you will keep your muscles.

"Sadly losing fat equals suffering."

It's a tough project. I'm currently cutting. So I know what you are talking about.

Good luck with the cut man! Respect for keeping it up.

Oh yes, my friend, the fact that you continue to visit the gym can only please, because you began to gain muscle and your body acquires mass gaining and health is strengthened, but as for fat, of course you will have to work with it, sure the result will be still better and it's great! Thank you Mark.

I hear much the same thing from my doctor each time I visit her. She is always telling me she would like to see less of me next time I come. I eat pretty decent, so it is just a matter of being motivated enough to exercise more. Great job on the muscle gain. That will help burn the fat for sure! Cute picture of your nephew.

I could probably eat much better. Luckily for me I like exercise. Sustaining some balance :) But it's harder with age.

I hear ya!
