Vlog 214: Weiss rating report #3 - 4 B's left and STEEM is one of them + SBD is trading higher than STEEM again.
The new Weiss rating report came out last night while I was sleeping.
I read the report this morning and most rated cryptocurrencies have gone down in rating.
From the report:
But don’t let the them throw you. The downgrades are due mostly to this week’s sudden plunge in nearly all cryptocurrencies, which naturally hit our Reward and Risk Index scores negatively.
STEEM is sill a B- which is great!
It's one of 4 B's mentioned in the rapport. (Cardano, Ethereum, NEO, STEEM)
SBD is trading higher than STEEM again.
I must admit this has been a little unexpected for me but this is crypto so it can happen.
SBD is trading higher than STEEM again.
Remember that an SBD is basically an IOU for 1 US dollar worth of STEEM.
So the fact that anyone would pay more than 1 US dollar for this IOU is strange but I don't complain.
I think a high SBD price is great for every Steemian that creates content on here.
I bought STEEM with my SBD, I also sold some and I'm keeping some to see how this develops.
I talk about it more in my vlog (starts @2:00).
I am a witness with our developer group @blockbrothers for the Steem blockchain. If you want to support us I would appreciate your vote here.

I think higher value of steem is more important in determining the amount of rewards an author gets as it determines the payout value of a post but I don't mind high sbd prices as well.
Correct. A higher STEEM price makes the $ value next to the post go up. With the changes to the UI it's now also easy to see that with a higher STEEM price more SBD's are created.
The estimated reward payout as it is shown just below the post is based on the value of STEEM, SBD, or USD? I feel too lazy to figure it out by my own.
I just got a tool from a frien here to show how this works based on steem feed
https://www.steemnow.com/@josteem
I noticed when SBD is low in usd ==> my voting power worth higher value (1,60 SBD) !!
But when SBD is high in usd ==> my vote worth less in SBD ( 0,98 SBD) !!
Is there a correlation or so??
Any one noticed that? Or have any info about that?
Thanks

Your upvote is based on the Steem Price Feed. Here's a great tool that you can use to check the price feed: https://www.steemnow.com Pro Tip: click on the current price feed $ amount (at the top right) and you can see a detailed chart of the price feed. Hope this helps!
Thanks for this great tool ❤️👍🏼

Has nothing to do with SBD. It’s calculated based on the Steem price.
Everyday i am learning something new. The more i learn the more happy i am. And this learning is more enjoyable when i am serounded by Good steemian friends like you.

Maybe it's a glitch in the matrix.
@introvertspeaks
Why you think so? Don’t understand what a glitch to do With calculating the SBD
@josteem
Because I am the ONE.
I agree with you
정보감사합니다
Thanks for the info..
Nice to see your video again 😍
Yayyyy, finally SBD is back 😂
I have been holding my SBD's when it was at 9 so you can imagine my situation.
😂 😂 very nice
Good to know steem is steady.
The fluctuation is minor compare to the other coins.
Steem is different and that's the big picture hidden around $3 or $4.

@josteem
No, it has to do with the STEEM price.
Thanks. Just got a tool from a friend @khaleelkazi to show how this works based on steem Feed . Just wanted to thank you and share it with you. Appreciate if you have any extra suggestion.

@exyle,
You brought a great news. Can you please share us the WEISS RATING pdf? I think it's very useful thing and I am actually unable to pay their membership fee at the moment!
Cheers~
@exyle I like to see when you trade your SBD to get more STEEM, that makes me feel more and more Positive about this platform and what it can do for anybody who wants to put in some effort and create Content.....
Excellent video friend and it's nice to see steem holding good place in weiss rating and that's great sign for steem blockchain and whole community too, well sbd crossed steem again and i think buying steem now with sbd is a wise decision because sbd is just an internal currency peg with us dollar and at some point it has to come down whereas steem is a main currency with huge open space ahead with no hurdles, so buying new steem or converting sbd to steem will produce great results in near future, thanks for staying us updated regarding steem friend and wish you a very joyful weekend ahead, Stay blessed
Great news I think Steem is the #1 blockchain followed by BITSHARES!! BTW those short ribs look awesome 😎! If you got a minute free check out my blog today my youngest turns 2😃🎉https://steemit.com/father/@ryan313/my-youngest-turns-2-today
It's interesting to see the SBD price rising about the STEEM price. I think it looks like a bullish sign for STEEM! With regards to the payouts, I'm still confused how it's calculated. There was a new payout feature that I wrote about today. This update made payouts more transparent, but the math still doesn't add up. If you have some time check out the article. Maybe you can help clear some things up. Thanks for the post!
