The Penultimate Match Before The Grand Final of the World Cup!
Well, only a game left to play and the one with the biggest prize at stake. The winners of the next match will be crowned World Cup champions of 2018. Who will that be? That is yet to be written, but I've already made my feelings clear as to who I think it will. Though, to be honest, I like both teams very much. France and Croatia thoroughly deserve their shot at being in the finals. But what of today's runners up game?
England vs. Belgium. Again, my prediction is still hitting that 100% winning streak. Although there was little drama in the game itself, I think it's fair to say it was a pretty one-sided affair. England's abysmal skills were displayed in all their ugly glory for the world to see. Belgium scored their first goal within the first few minutes of play. And that's in no small part to England's cringe-worthy defence. It had more holes than a slab of cheese and Belgium capitalized on that every single time. In fact, I'm surprised the match didn't have more goals scored by them. I've always said that this country got caught up in the euphoria of getting a few goals against Panama and Tunisia, thus thinking they were a good team. No, they are not. This match proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt. And the closing result was a solid 2-0 victory for the Belgians. Nice one.
But please, don't get me wrong. If England are good at a sport, I'll be more than happy to hoist the flag and cheer them on all day long. Such as boxing, for instance. But football, much as the nation want to deny it, is certainly not their forte. I saw through the "emperors clothes" from the get go and it still surprises me that the people of England were so shocked at the last two defeats. Even the commentators were busying themselves with excuses as to why they were playing so poorly. It was nothing but a shambles from them. But anyways, it is what it is and clearly shows that they still have a mountain to climb if they ever want to reach international level football.
So, well done to Belgium. Another team that have simply outdone themselves in the World Cup and earned my utmost respect in this sport. Third place is "bronze"recognition as far as I'm concerned so a mighty fine achievement on their part. And now on to the final. The big showdown between two underdogs at the start of the tournament. It has the makings of an absolute thriller. The only way I'll be missing this match is if the world blows up.
And hopefully, the apocalypse can wait... :)
The English media are doing their football more harm than good, we all know that the present Three Lion squad are the team for the future but the way their media get to paint the team as if they are invincible.Even in their World Cup campaign to the semifinals they didn’t even play a tough team it was just a easy ride for them . This is what you get when you build a house on a faulty foundation with a top notch painting , what do you get at the end a collapse building! It is coming home my foot!
How right you are, friend! It was so easy to see from the start, but the hysterical frenzy sent England fans into a delusional, retarded state. Now the "acceptance" phase is also proving a bitter pill to swallow.
I agree with you. England is not good at football. They are even lucky to get to the semi final. They did not really play any tough opponent on their way to semi final
Your assessment is spot on. Yet many people in the UK don't want to accept that fact.
This whole World Cup was a total opposite of what I thought it would be.
All my favorite teams are out, and I'm not very happy to tell you the truth with the final teams, even though they did great job and they earned their respect.
I agree that this World Cup was very unpredictable, but the draw of the final turned out to be pretty cool IMHO. :)
In my opinion England had many opportunities to tie the game, but in football if the ball does not enter the goal does not help.
I think that, like Argentina, there are four years ahead to rethink the game, England will have to study the new trends of world football, if it does in 2022 it will have many chances to reach the final.
Many sgarcias dear friend @ ezzy for sharing your vision soccer
I wish you a beautiful Sunday
Exactly, bro. Regrouping and strategic planning is needed going forward, but to be honest, each major tournament usually yields the same result for England, lol. Coulda, woulda, shoulda.
Bless, my bro. All the best, man... :)
@ezzy today I could not see the semi final how sorry, but I think it's good that Belgium has won is well deserved fight until the last
The final I would like France to win have a great team so to link it
I'm looking at France too. :)
yeah it was pretty little thriller in the game. the game went on as everyone predicted a win to belgium. but seriously belgium played great and england very much poor. Harry kane and rashford played shit football. only trippier was average delivering dozens of crosses. belgians however were topclass except for lukaku missing 2 open chances. de bruyne and hazard were awesome. thanks for sharing.
Yes, even Belgium missed a few opportunities. But one has to ask how hard they were actually trying, lol. :)
I think yesterday Belgium played better then England.
England missed a few opportunities after the early goal from Belgium.
England were terrible in that game, bro. Belgium certainly played much better, agreed. )
