7 Books That Will Launch You From Your Haunch
You look great today! I'm here to give you 7 books that will boost your STEEM POWER like crazy.
Hello everyone,
I've noticed that there are waaay more "self-help" and "marketing" books than necessary, and the inclination to write them has become a scourge that drowned out any quality materials. Many now believe that ALL books in this category are terrible, as did I. However, there are gems that cannot be ignored, and here are a few. What is especially odd is that a lot of them are especially useful to steemit content producers and entrepreneurs. ;)
What is different about these 7 books, is that they produce results.
The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich by Timothy Ferris
A classic, even if the title sounds over the top. I have never seen so much useful information on how to become successful in a single place. It's not a manual that will hold your hand from start to finish, but the lessons it teaches (especially about self-sufficiency) are incredible.
How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie
The only thing you need to know about this book is that it helped a short, homeless convicted felon called Charlie create a harem of beautiful young women willing to kill for him. While I definitely don't recommend you go down the same path, this book teaches effective communication that is useful in any situation. It has been a legend since it was first published in 1937.
Everything in society is symbolic, and our search for meaning inevitably draws us back to our archetypal roots. This book addresses underlying psychological principles, making it indispensable to any marketers and advertisers who hope to create a logo or brand as iconic as Apple or Amazon.
This is required reading for anyone interested in philosophy, NLP, or influencing their own psyche. It is an extraordinarily subtle work, and requires a lot of secular reading in between the lines. But if you can manage to understand and apply the principles, the results can be rewarding.
While this book makes claims that you can alter the physical world using your mind, this is not to be taken literally. In fact, it refers to the fleeting and psychological nature of our reality. It is definitely possible to influence events and people around you through body language, intonation, and more. Read with a critical eye, the Kybalion contains many objective truths applicable in any area.
This book will make you see reality in a completely new light. It hones your powers of deduction and demonstrates extremely counter-intuitive facts which will challenge your pre-existing notions about the world around you. Definitely recommended.
WARNING: If you are a marketer and don't have this book yet, people might laugh at you. It contains empirically verified methods for influencing people and is applicable to any field in business or your personal life.
A fascinating book that is similar to "Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion". To me, it felt almost like a sequel. It also contains verified methods for persuading the public and the people around you.
I would have made a different list, but I like this one too.
I'm sure there are more than 7 really good books out there. Please link me if you write one!
Oh, one I would recommend is "The monk who sold his ferrari " by Robin Sharma. On a platform such as this, developing one's character online as well as having discipline is essential, instead of the rush we see. Stuff like these are the focus of this book.
Good recommendations. Keep STEEMING!
how about Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Khaneman? It would fit nicely with Arieli's Predictably Irrational
Haven't read it yet. Ordered it right away.
