can fish see in the dark?
Like deep – sea shrimp, numerous deapwater fish are bio-luminescent.The anglerfish has a light-producing organ above its mouth to lure prey. The organ is located on a long, flexible spine that looks like a fishing pole..
Fish cannot see in total darkness, but their other senses heip them to find food. Some, such a angler fish, actually carry their own lights.Oceans offe various habitats at different depths below the surface.these are called zones. The euphoticzone is at the top, extending to a depth of about 200 metres (660 ft).
Verry little light from the sun can reach further down than this . The bathypelagic zone below is totally dark,so no plants van live there, but the number of fish, squid and crustaceans make this zone their home. They feed on waste material that sinks from above.
