Money

In today's competitive world most of the humans are battling against each other to acquire more money. Some want money for their basic needs while other desire it for a luxurious life.People are so busy in earning money that they think money can buy life and they do not release the fact that they wasted a good percentage of life in doing so. Why other living beings live their life so peacefully while the most intelligent species live a stressful life.

History of money

The history of money truly existed when mankind started to farm.Money was in a form of barter trade(9000 BCE), where you buy one commodity in exchange for another commodity. Cattles and manure were mostly used as they were valuable. As the mankind progressed money took different forms as per as the colonies needs. When the era of the kings started barter system was not fully effective, they started using precious metals like gold and silver. The Egyptian and other kingdoms started using metals as a medium of exchange. As the mankind progressed further more China became the first country to introduced money in the form of paper notes in the Tang Dynasty (618 A.D. - 907 A.D.

What makes money evil?

  1. Power - Money gives a man power and power corrupts a man.As once stated in the movie Spider man "With great power comes great responsibility", Money gives power to many irresponsible people whose prime motive is to make more money by manipulating you and when he has the power he can do it easily that is one of the reasons people greed for more money. The greed,  manipulation, and irresponsibility are not so good for a peaceful human life.
  2. Social status - In human society, all beings have a tag attached to their wallet. The bank accounts determine whether they fall into the rich class or the middle class and if you are poor than forget about even having a bank account. This kind of things divide people and make them weaker. They are not allowed to live their life with a pride unless they have a huge amount of money in the society.
  3. Desire -The desire of money starts when you reach adulthood and then it becomes a curse until you die.The more money you get the more you desire, the desire only multiplies. The Sad part is that not always the desire can be achieved and many people do a robbery, murder, and other crimes in order to achieve them.
  4. Pressure - In the adulthood, most of the people have society and family pressure to start earning money and it is not bad at a certain point. The thing gets dirtier when the person trying 100 percent to earn money but fail to do so because of some external factors out of his control and all people start to think him as a burden.
  5. Career -Most of the student in today's world choose a career based on how much they will earn not based on what they like unless they are from a rich family who can afford a good education. When someone runs education as a business and add money to it than it makes education accessible to only a few and many people left unguided to reach their full potential.
  6. Stress - It is true that money can buy a certain type of happiness but for the majority of people earning money for the basic need is a stressful event. They spend most of the time earning money that they even forgot the way to live life when they were young. The stress to earn money is the leading cause of stress to human beings which is resulted in many health problems.

“Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has the more one wants.”

This line was said by the founding father of the united states Benjamin Franklin. He states it clearly that money cannot make a man happy instead it turns him into a greedy person.

.....................................................................................................................................

"I would rather be a little nobody, then to be evil somebody."

This line was said by Abraham Lincoln, he wants to convey a message that instead of becoming some rich evil man he prefer to be a good poor man.

“Money often costs too much.”

These 5-word quotes were said by Ralph Waldo Emerson (American essayist). He describes the nature of money in one line that sometimes in order to achieve money you become so blind that you give away the life in front of you.

.................................................................................................................................

I know money is necessary to run an economy without it our day to day life seems to be impossible. The First problem is that people are so busy in earning money that they stop living the life and when they wanted the life back it's too late for them. The second problem is that kills humanity, people are using each other to earn money for the greedy reasons.Lastly, It is not favorable to science, most of the research which is funded are ones whom businessman thinks they can earn huge profit which decrease lots of opportunities in science.

Tell me what you think.
