Groundhog Phil predicts more winter! The 130-year-old tradition #GroundhogDay is celebrated in the US every year on February 2. It dictates that if groundhog Punxsutawney Phil emerges from his hole and sees his own shadow, he will retreat back to his hole and winter will last another six weeks. If he doesn’t (because it’s cloudy), spring will arrive early. The first Groundhog Day was celebrated at Gobler’s Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, in 1887.!
