2739 deaths due to tobacco in India every day and Tablet can disrupt sleep: study

Today 31st May, tobacco prohibition is being celebrated across the world and permission to stay away from tobacco is being given because Tobacco is the root cause of diseases. Keeping in view the prevention of diseases and deaths caused by the WHO, tobacco and other products of smoking, this year's theme 'Tobacco and Cardiovascular Disease i.e. Tobacco and Heart Disease' has been kept. Statistics show that 70 lakh people worldwide and 2739 people every day in India die from cancer and other diseases due to tobacco and other smoking products.

Smokeless tobacco consumption is more than smoking
According to the 'Global Adult Tobacco Survey' (GATS-2) 2016-17, consumption of smokeless tobacco in India is more than smoking. At present, 42.4 per cent men, 14.2 per cent women and 28.8 per cent of all adults smoke or use smokeless tobacco. According to the statistics, 19 percent of the men, 2 percent of the women and 10.7 percent of the adults smoke, while 29.6 percent of the men, 12.8 percent of the women and 21.4 percent of adults use smokeless tobacco.

Tablet can disrupt sleep: study

Boston: Using the tablet in the evening, your sleep time may be delayed because the light coming from them can interfere with sleep-control hormones and make it unable to wake up in the morning.

One study has received this information. This study has been published in 'Physiology Reports'. In this study, the use of light spreading tablets was used to compare nine healthier youth who used to persist for five days, who read newspapers, books or magazines in the evening.

Jenny Duffy of Harvard Medical School of America said, "The information from this study highlights the fact that light emitting devices affect the body."
