Sportbike Ride Favorite Helmet View
This video begins at a traffic light with my son's best riding friends in front of him. Tyson is to his left on a Honda ST1300 sport touring bike. Katharine is in front of Tyson on a Yamaha R6 with her pink feathered mohawk on her helmet. In front of my son is AJ on his Yamaha R1 liter bike. Enjoy the following video with a helmet mounted camera.
Many riders in California were getting ticketed for cameras mounted on their helmets so most riders don't use use a helmet cam anymore. It was a 'gray area interpetation' or ticketing for money but there are chest strap mounts or back to bike mounted locations. The law says you can't compromise the integrity of the helmet and many cops falsely ticket using this excuse. Using sticky tape to mount a camera doesn't compromise the helmet at all but you still have to pay the ticket or fight it. Just easier not to do it and remove their excuse. Having a fine ride with all your friends makes for a wonderful day. Dad is is the back with the slow pokes. Thanks for watching and enjoy your ride!

Had a cop. Harass me over a loud tail pipe. Asked if he heard me. Then he got the point. Loud pipes save lives

Thanks ganjafarmer. I agree with you totally. Being seen and heard greatly improves your safety on a bike. I like that my son's bike is bright lime green to improve his visibility and safety.
Gotta get a loud pipe for this if I can get it...

Is that a KLX250? You should be able to find an aftermarket pipe for that. I just looked and many pipes are available. Good luck finding what you want.

Thanks Codge. It is way to much of a stretch to interpet that way but until it is challenged in court and ruled on by a judge they will continue getting away with it. 🙄

I forget, why do you have the brake fluid wrapped in black?
I thought you were supposed to keep it cool to prevent thinning?
The plastic master cylinder is covered by a sock coozie for soft drinks to keep it out of the sun cause uv radiation makes the plastic brittle and will crumble in a few years. Thanks for asking danmcc.

With that pink mohawk, I'd worry that if I was driving a car alongside her, she might leap off her bike and onto my hood, Mad Max style, hahaha!
Well Joy, Katharine is a pretty crazy gal but I don't think she would ever do that to leave her R6 baby to crash with no one riding it. 😂
