Being Happy Isn't Possible

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Never has been and never will be. The best you can hope for is to be distracted from your misery for as long as possible. Just play for time, until you’re all out of it. Life is a transition, from birth to death.

You will always want something, whether it’s internal or external. For example, internally I want a bigger flat, a fancy gaming computer, VR and so on. Even if I somehow get all that I’ll still have my external desires. I want my Mum and Dad to recover from their health issues. Then we have national and global issues that will never end. I wish good people didn’t have to sleep on the streets. I wish that those selfish people in power would stop tearing apart, destroying and point blank ending the lives of those with less than them.

No matter what you get you will always want more. Even if you are one of the very few that manage to have enough money and resources to quench your internal desires the external ones will persist.
