It used to be like that in our country too until recently when Facebook and other social media supercede our mainstream newspaper and tell the world as it is the real thing that happened, everyone began to have gut to voice out. To become not just sheep following the norm the majority. But one who dare to stand up to speak out.
So I guess through times and awareness and through articles like this which you have written, people will be made bold to make a difference.

People are speaking out on all forms of social media here but much of it is getting censored and taken down. These social media sites are taking the voices of the people away many times. That is why I like Steemit it will not be censored and we have a true freedom of speech here. Thank You!
True freedom of speech requires protection from all consequences, including social consequences.
The only way to be free is to be an anonymous voice that can speak the sheer, utter truth without fear, or a shaking voice. But that is impossible when people fear judgement from others, be it even the slightest disapproval. No one wants to lose friends or make enemies.
But what if the truth is considered heresy?
Truth is truth good or bad. If you are worried like many people do about making friends and they get made because you spoke a truth, then were they really a friend? Truth should outweigh any religious belief because just because it goes against a belief does not make it any less a truth.
