RE: DELETE

Sometimes it is tough to tell yourself all these reassuring things, but I agree it is something more people should be doing. If you go around telling yourself you can't do this and everything is your fault, it's only so long until you start believing it. And some people don't realize they're doing it either. So being self-aware to the fact is a crucial starting point on the road to positive thinking in your life.

Great post. Thanks for sharing. :)

It's probably one of the more difficult things to do, just like getting into exercising, it's all about structure and staying consistent and being aware of what's coming into your brain.

It's funny you say that, letting their mind master them because in either case it's a product of your mind's device. All negative and positive thoughts begin in the brain. I guess it's just the case of knowing what to filter out and choosing what to believe.

Unfortunately not everyone is surrounded by positivity and therefore sending people into a downward spiral of depression. I have a family member that is struggling with depression and making sure she is surrounded by people with good intentions is extremely important when she has no one. I would keep reminding her to stay positive and filter out such thoughts.

Anyway, thanks for a great discussion. Keep positive @tinanikolovski! :)

Right, where do they initially begin? It's difficult for most people to pinpoint what or who may have influenced you to start thinking and treating yourself in such a way. Like you said, the subconscious mind is what determines how your positive and negative thoughts are wired. The amount of subconscious programming in media these days it's hard to go anywhere without feeling self-conscious about every little thing.

Getting to a point with a mastered mindset inside any environment takes a lot of training and re-programming your brain to deal with every situation. But with the awareness, dedication, and support system most people can climb out of the dark hole of depression.

My family member is getting lots of help from outside coaches and counselors alike. Unfortunately I am out of country and she is dealing with all this by herself, as my family lives more than an 8 hour drive away. She has been in counseling for over a year and has, more or less, pinpointed the root of her depression, which is great at attempting to rebuild her life mentally.

I'm sorry to hear about your struggle with depression, but glad to know those days are in your past and you're beginning to live life fully with positivity beaming through your mind. :)

Thank you for this warming discussion, @tinanikolovski!
