Control Your Paranoia, Don't Let It Control You

The stock has plunged, the cryptocurrency market has registered significant decrease, the spread of the novel coronavirus seems to be unavoidable as people worldwide are bracing themselves for pandemia and economic crisis. The past 2 weeks have seen more negative events than the entire past year.

No one argues that 2020 started on the wrong foot, but let's try to be optimistic, this is just a phase and it will pass. Mankind has seen worse moments of crisis: 9/11, the holocaust, the great plague, inquisition …. You get the idea. We've had it worse and we survived.

This is why we shouldn't let a virus or a period of economic uncertainty bring us down.

We have all the necessary resources to constantly adapt to new circumstances and strive even in the hardest conditions. And as long as we still have a job to go to and food to put on our table, we can't say we're at the end of our wits.

What we all probably feel, however, is the general paranoia that seems to gain more and more power these days, fueled by the media and social platforms. This generates fear which is the biggest enemy in situations of crisis. To this paranoia we should say no and turn our back on it while focusing on real action plans we might need in the real future for our finances and health.
