At what age have you really become an adult?

Truthfully, I feel like I didn't become an adult until after 30. My 20s were spent with me trying to figure out what I actually wanted from life and finishing my college education. Now that I am in my 30s, I feel like I know what I want from life and am getting established in my career. I have my personal finances worked out for the most part and have learned how to have better life relationships with friends and my romantic relationship. You are right that becoming an adult is not an overnight process, it takes time and it's a journey. I feel like you are not truly an adult until you know what you want from life and have started to get established in your career. To have friends that are not grown up in your mid-20s is normal, at least to me. I didn't even start college until 25 because I was serving in the military before then.
