The Question...
What do you want to do when you finish school
It’s everywhere I swear it’s like this question follows me, as though its sitting perched on my shoulder just telling practically begging every adult or friend of mine to ask. So, that’s exactly what happens…
I’m chatting to friends on WhatsApp and the next thing I know is I say ask me something or tell me something and the first thing they ask is “What do you want to do when you finish school?”. Or I go out with my friends and we're just chilling and talking about random stuff and then one of them asks "What do you want to do when you finish school?" It's as though I'm the only one in my group of friends that doesn't know what I want to do.
I go to my mother’s office and people ask, “What do you want to do when you finish school?” I mean it’s like this question is everywhere. It’s not an easy question to answer cause as some of you know I’m only 15 but I finish school in 2 years so that’s not a long time to decide what you want to do with your life for the rest of your life and because I finish school at the age of 17 I might make the wrong decision. It’s not like it’s one of those things where you can just go and say okay this is what I want to do I’m 100% sure of that, it’s quite a difficult decision.
I mean at the moment I’m trying to learn how to code and program cause that’s something that I want to do but I also want to do architecture and photography and accounting and graphic design and law so it’s just like okay I don’t know what I want to do.
I guess I should decide soon though cause next year I have to choose subjects for whatever job I want to do.
Wish me luck…

I didn't know what I wanted to do when I finished school.
When I finished school, I still didn't know what I wanted to do. I went to college to do Computer Programming, but I quit because it wasn't what I wanted to do, it was my dad's suggestion.
I went back to studies in 2013 and I'm just about to start my final year of my BSc Psychology Degree, but after that, I don't know what to do.
I know I want to write. I know I like learning. I have many interests. Psychology (of course), photography, ancient history, classics, languages, and more.
There are people out there in the world that are dead-set on becoming a doctor, or a lawyer, or a dentist, or an astronaught, but there are people that don't know.
But, there is nothing wrong with it! You don't have to have a career, so long as your happy and healthy, that's all that matters!
Ideally, get a job that you love doing! So if you love coding/programming, maybe look at doing something with that?
Or if you love law, look into that?
Or if you're not sure which one to choose (if you must choose only one), either do some work experience in these areas to get an idea of what you'll be doing or write a pros/cons list.
But you're 15, you don't have to have everything worked out at that age.
I'm 29 this year, I still haven't got it worked out. ;)
Good luck!
Thank you
