CANCER CAN BE AVOIDED

Being exposed to an environment with cancer made me brave and scary as well. I believe that everyone deserves to live longer but it is in our side to take care of ourselves. As what my grandmother told me, "Know what you eat. You are the real doctor of your life. If you do not take good care of your health, then, you are putting your long-term health to a risk."

There are so many diseases found in the world. Some of them can be cured and some had been killing people for years. One of the leading diseases causing death is cancer. Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. This disease is the second leading cause of death in the world. There are many different types of cancer, which are classified and named according to the type of affected cells.

But did you know that cancer is preventable with lifestyle and diet changes? While cancer is one of the worst, these ten foods can also lead to heart disease, diabetes and chronic inflammation. Thus, must be avoided.

1. Genetically modified foods

Genetically modified foods or GM foods, also known as genetically engineered foods or bioengineered foods, are foods produced from organisms that have had changes introduced into their DNA using the methods of genetic engineering. And here's a scary statistic...More than 90% of our corn and soy are now genetically modified! The rapidly growing industry of genetically modified crops is infiltrating our food supply.

2. Microwave Popcorn

Watch out for the fumes and the GMOs! Not only are the kernels and oil likely GMO, but the fumes released from artificial butter flavoring containing diacetyl, which is toxic to humans.

3. Canned Goods

Did you know that most cans are lined with a product called BPA, which has been shown to genetically aftalter the brain cells of rats? Bisphenol (BPA) can also be found in plastic goods, thermal paper, water lines and many dental composites.

4. Grilled meat

While grilling sure does taste delicious, scientists have discovered that preparing meats this way changes the chemical and molecular structure of the meat. No, thank you!

5. Refined sugar
Known to spike your insulin levels and feed the growth of cancer cells, refined sugars are the BIGGEST threat to our health. To make things worse the majority of the sugar supply in the U.S. is made using GMO sugar beets.

6. Salted, Prickled and Smoked Foods
To prolong shelf life, processed foods are filled with preservatives! these chemicals cumulate in your body eventually causing damage at the cellular level, leading to disease.

7. Soda and Carbonated Beverages
Filled with high-fructose corn syrup dyes, and other chemicals, sodas provide zero nutritional value and can rob your body of the good nutrients you can get from other foods. Yes, this includes diet soda too!

8. White Flour

When flour is refined, all nutritional value is removed and then it is bleached with chlorine gas! Not only that, since white flour is so high on the glycemic index, products that contain excess amounts can lead to increased insulin resistance.

9. Farmed Fish
Sixty percent of farmed salmon is treated with antibiotics, pesticides, and other carcinogenic chemicals. Gross! Be careful!

10. Hydrogenated Oils

Vegetable oils are chemically extracted from their source, then they are chemically treated. and then more chemicals are added to change the smell and taste. Artificial! These are the trans fatty foods like chocolates, ice cream, burgers, fries and many more.

These are the top ten cancer causing foods. These foods are so delicious yet they have bad effects to us. According to studies, it is inevitable for a person to eat such kinds of foods. But should not be too much. Anything of too much is not good. It is so bad that it will lead us to death. And if you eat any of those foods above, then, give time to your body to recover. Do not eat these often. It is alright to eat those but a little amount of each kind at a time occasionally.

Health is wealth. Remember, if your health is damaged, then, everything in your life will also be damaged. It is so hard but it is a matter of self-control. Your family needs you. You deserved to live longer. Stay alive! Be healthy! NO TO CANCER!
