Don't worry about the looking strange when filming yourself part. I've been vlogging for about a year and it still feel weird to have my camera out in public. It does get easier though.
Quick tip: Tilt your phone to landscape instead of portrait.

The redo is for next time ;). Good thing you didn't do a retake. It often removes the spontaneity from the original.

Yes. Or fully scripted with the best camera available. But I'm not in that stage yet :)
