RE: Glorious Sunset over Seneca; and the First Time Brad Saved My LIfe
AW just loved all of this!! The pictures are stunning, those colours... kinda made me feel nostalgic.... or it could have been your story that did that.
I love how you childhood sounds (minus the near death experiences!!)
I'm always trying to get my kids off the computers and outside... but it's almost as if they don't understand the concept of just being outside and having adventures.
To be fair it's not like they can go very far here though, as we live in the city.
Safe travels lady!!
Thanks! I know exactly what you mean about getting the kids to adventure outside, they definitely don't choose to be there as much as we used to! Well, I do get them out on the trampoline at least :)
Also we spent nearly a year in the ozark mountains when they were nine to ten and twelve to thirteen, with very little in the way of technology, so at least they had the camping trip to beat all camping trips with every single outdoor activity of a life time jam packed in :)
Super fun trip, if a bit short. Got tons of awesome pictures though, and spent hours reminiscing...is it just me, or do other people turn into adolescents talking about stuff like raunchy farts when they get together with their childhood compatriots?
So funny - we have a trampoline which serves as the primary means of exercising the kids too!!
Also, your time in the ozark mountains is similar to the year we spent in the Algarve. All outdoor time, swimming, walking, beaching. Just great. We're hoping to do it again someday.
LOL!! Yes!! There's something about being with childhood friends that almost demands some kind of adolescent giddiness and jokes!!
