Freedom Day Update!steemCreated with Sketch.

Afternoon Friends,

It's Freedom Day here in South Africa and we're celebrating the first past Apartheid Elections held on the 27th April 1994!

Needless to say, today is a day that speaks of freedom.  I just want to say quickly that it is more important than ever to use your voice and speak truth to power.  Be heard, be clear but carry a spirit of self-control and kindness.

A lot of the time we can communicate anger and blame but the best and most transformative method is to come to the table with solutions.  Too many people, in my opinion blame others rather than taking responsibility.

Nelson Mandela and all those powerful men and women who brought change to South Africa (and when I say 'powerful', I mean people who owned the situation and brought solutions) could have remained bitter and resentful, yet they chose to forgive and rebuild.

Whatever situation you find yourself in today, step back and find a solution that brings dignity, truth and clarity to a situation rather than anger, entitlement and blame (NB. Blame is just anger that is directed at someone else).

Hope that helps and back to videos after our long weekend!

Love J
