Throughout my years of schooling, I was always told to focus on improving my weaknesses. I was never great at the sciences and I was constantly told to put more off my time and effort to improve. While I think it is important to always work on improving all your skills, I think there is merit to focus most of your energy on improving your strengths. Everyone is born with unique natural abilities, and if we all focused on what we do best, we would be able to bring so much value to the community.

We should celebrate our strengths and make them a priority. If you are a terrible musician, but you are a wonderful writer, focus on getting even better at writing. Strive to not only be good at writing, but great.

If you are not sure what your strengths are, I encourage you to buy the book Strength Finders 1.0 on Amazon. This book does a great job explaining the concept of focusing on your strengths and also helping you figure out what you are best at.

*here is a fun photo of my strong friend Rikki lifting me up. Her strength is being an amazing acrobat.

What do you think your strengths are? Feel free to share below :)

I just love yoga, recently come across your page.. great content I enjoyed reading your work. . .

I think your as strong as your friend if your balancing on top of her like that.

It's an art.

aww thanks for that complement. Takes a lot of practice and trust, but we did it :)

That is a really neat picture, I like the way you are lined up with the butterfly wings and background. I can't picture myself ever doing something like that - either as the top or the bottom person.

My strengths are being very analytical in a system wide interactions and curious about a variety of things and how the interrelate. This has recently made me interested in crypto trading and minting. It is sometimes hard to really know what your true strengths are though.

aww thanks for the sweet comment. Never say never. I didn't think I could either when I first started acroyoga. The body and mind are amazing things. :) If you get the chance or are interested in acroyoga, I highly encourage you to try it! It's just so much fun connecting with another person like that.

Those are great skills to have! Seeing how things connect and interrelate is well... very analytical... hahah like you said 😊

I agree, only experimenting and trying new things can help you find your strengths. :) Life is a journey.. just have to enjoy every moment of it.

My focus and strength is on helping minnows. I also happen to like rock climbing. Enjoy the resteem to ~4k people.

OMG! You totally just made my day. Thank you for sharing my article. haha yea for 4K followers. Also, YAY to one day becoming a minnow. I haven't made it there yet, remember? 😂😂😂

P.S. Love your strength :) Also do you like to climb outdoors? bouldering, top rope?

Well it doesnt help when you trade away a few hundred bucks to blocktrades. But oh well, life happens. Nice to meet you. I'm bummed you live in sacremento. I have back pain and want to try acroyoga,

HAHHA. Hey on the flip slide, its pretty cool that you even had a few hundred bucks to trade. There is silver lining to every story :)

Aww where do you live? You should totally visit, I would hook you up with some free acroyoga lessons. I love teaching people acroyoga! There are certain poses that are such nice stretches on your back. :) I'm just a plane ticket away.

I like indoor and toprope. A jacked awsome climber friend of mine recently died outdoors lead climbing, If he can die I'm sure to die. So, I've avoided that for a while. I was on 5.10s, but back to 5.9s I think.

I travel for work. If I go to sacremento I'll look you up. If you can fix my bac I'll love you forever. I kinda think acroyoga could do it, but I live in MA and haven't found a good place for it

oh no. That is so sad to hear... you can still get pretty messed up indoors too... one of our friends years ago, didn't check the rope and did not double loop when anchoring in and yea... he broke his back and was in a wheelchair for a year.

Yes, hit me up if you visit Sacramento... I'll take you to Pipeworks which is the local rock climbing gym. It's amazing. The top rope section is like 2 stories high... I always get winded after one climb... Also there are good mats to practice acroyoga on.

Try looking up an acroyoga group on FB, they usually have them everywhere. The acroyoga is pretty great, people are so welcoming and kind.. reminds me of the Steemit community. I think that's why I enjoy being on this platform so much. :)

What a strong climber you are! :)

Aww thank you! climbing outside is exhilarating. Will be out for a while since I broke my collarbone recently. Hope to get back into it soon! Thanks for stopping to check out my blog! 😊

Hope you will recover again very soon! :)

Awesome post! You have a ton of great strengths.
Strength Finders book is great.
It told me I am a people person ;)

HEHE I could see that. aka that's why you are acrogod! :) Thank you.

definitely! my whole career revolves around the thing i was always good at. playing video games. HAH! so much for "wasting all those hours on stupid games" when i was a kid!

Thanks for the good post!

I'm reading "Grit" right now, and it gets into this topic.

talent x effort = skill
skill x effort = acheivement

It's hard to put a lot of effort into something when you're not passionate about the subject. One of my greatest strengths is grit. I do not give up easily. If I say I'm going to do something, I do it too.

I also have natural talents that work well for being a private investigator, and my primary passion is residential security (related to the same strengths).

Thanks for the share! That's awesome information you got there! Ooo having grit will take you far in life. Ambition and drive... good stuff.

Also very fitting for a private investigator. Glad to hear you are already playing to your strengths.

Great pics!! And cool article! Wow, so you used to do rock-climbing or bouldering too? I used to do some rock climbing occasionally (but haven't for a long time). Cool/wow!😀

yes. Rock climbing is da bomb dot com! :) I haven't climbed as much recently because of my obsession for acroyoga and new hobby, dance... but I am a member at a rock climbing gym, so I still climb on occasion.

Maybe this is something you start getting back into, now that you have all this free time :P

Awesome post, and cool artical .i like it very much....

Thank you! :) Glad you enjoyed the read.

Upped, resteemed and followed @karensuestudios! Thanks for the insights and the share of the book title! Stay Steemed!

aww thank you so much! Flattered by the resteem :)
