The Benefits Of Blogging On Steemit
Of course, There are a lot of obvious benefits to Steemit, Like the great community, The ability to make some money. But there are a lot of not so obvious benefits too.
Deeper Clearer Thinking
Many of us stop writing when we get done with school, But then we lose the incredible benefits to writing every day.
I've noticed since I've been writing on Steemit for the last year, This almost daily writing habit has allowed me to understand myself in a deeper way, Also articulate my feelings and thoughts in a better manner. I used to spend a lot of time confused, Not sure if I was doing something wrong in my relationships or if it was something more on the other side.
But with my constant writing habit, I'm starting to see things in a new way, That allows me to understand situations. It's like my brain used to be "cloudy." But now I feel a deeper understanding and appreciation of my reactions and thoughts in certain situations, and I can make adjustments when necessary.
Better Self Expression
Sometimes when I'm angry, Or sad. I can jump on here and start writing. Even when I'm writing a post that doesn't' relate to whats going on in my life. It gives me this place to "vent" and destress. Once I type 500-1000 words, I feel the emotions subside so I can focus on being more productive. Unlike Facebook, Steemit encourages productivity. New Ideas, New thoughts, and New Mindsets.
A Facebook post can't-do that for you. While you often see people vent on Facebook, That often ends up causing drama and getting everyone else annoyed. Steemit is a better way of expression because you can go more in-depth and possibly get ideas on how to resolve the issue.
An Honest Community
Steemit is full of honest people; Sure we have our fair share of trolls like every site does. But We also have a lot of awesome people who are kind but at the same time honest. I've posted some pretty bad stuff, and people weren't afraid to call me out on it. Or tell me how they feel. It seems as though many other social network sites are full of "Phony" people who don't care enough to let you know.
Conclusion
What would I do without Steemit? Seriously! It's become such a big part of my life, That I'm not sure how I'd survive without it.
This platform means the world to me, And I'm so glad to be here!

I've been telling my wife for months now, "Steemit is for smart people."
But it's not just smart. It's all-around quality. Quality people, quality content. Facebook is just a bunch of people that I used to know sharing memes.
And I also love having a place to practice writing. Like you said, I did it all the time in school, but not so much anymore.
We love it here; excited to grow with Steemit. Thanks!
WOW Exactly! I agree with that completely. There are much more higher quality people here.
Thanks for being one of them. 😍
I JUST started following you. Hubs up there. 😉
I totally agree. I feel like because of Steemit and spending more time writing/blogging, life in general is better.
I've essentially left Facebook (I keep it for Messenger), but LOVE that I'm growing with a community here.
Thanks again! Here's an octopus (though you can only see 4 legs...):🦑
I wrote the same thing about steemit & minds.com 3 days ago on @steeminator3000 post called I Hate Every Aspect Of Social Media. I totally agree about Facebook thats why I no longer have one.
You made my day
Good of you
Can relate in every aspect - getting back into writing gets me back into sorting through thoughts... The past ten years where completely filled with "hands on" tasks and even though I had considered creating a blog, I am too much a tech autist - so luckily blogging on steemit serves much easier for me - even though I really hope to learn more about the formatting (will get there) After those 2,5 weeks since I am here I enjoy it every single day and I can feel, how I am slowly but surely getting back into writing... cheers from the seven mountains in Germany
What would you do without it? You wouldn't have met me! 😉 kidding!
It seems to have provided you with an amazing opportunity to really turn your life around through expression and self-enhancement due to writing blogs/venting/sharing life experiences with the Steemit community and I am glad your life has become so much better because of it!
I never thought I would see myself blogging, or being so addicted to a social media/blogging platform so quickly, yet the first week, each day I spent probably 5+ hours on here, commenting, getting use to Steemit and enjoying what I had stumbled upon!
That and meeting the lovely Kaylin and her awesome content! Hehehe 😃
Right? I wouldn't have met you hahahha!!
I feel the same thing, I never really wanted to start a blog, Until I came here. Thats awesome that it became a new hobby for both of us hehe :)
Yay she admitted it! Dances hahaha.
It is awesome we both found it to be a good, fun hobby and something we enjoy. 😃
OH OH...I have one! To completely distract yourself from your life.....err, wait. Is that good or bad? hehehe ;-p
WOW! Good one :) It does that too hehe.
What I see on Steemit it's different from all other blog platforms, here the bloggers are compensated more fairly and the intellectual enrichment is more recognized and distributed.
I agree Kaylin! This community is one of the most welcoming I've experienced on the internet. It is nice to feel encouraged and supported by others, and it sure is nice to receive monetary gain from content creation ;)
I love how clear your writing is. I hope to get to that level at some point.
BTW, did you mean "500-100 words" under the Better Self Expression section?
Thank you! I need to fix that oops! LOL
You are the best
You're right! People think of writing as a burden to excel, to produce absolute master pieces, and blow minds. Not saying that we're incapable, but merely emphasizing on the fact that we possibly cannot create perfection every time we sit down to write. Some days it may not even make sense to us, some days we might tire ourselves after writing a few lines and others, we may actually surprise ourselves out of our wits!
In this quest of being the best each time, we forget that the act of writing is a simple one, and one of the more stable forms of therapy. It helps clear and organize your mind and understand yourself better - amongst so many other things.
I'm new to Steemit and just merely observing at the moment, but I've sensed that through writing people really get in touch with their true selves and their emotions - especially here. Love it.
I merely couldn't leave your web site before revealing to you that i truly appreciated the only quality data you gift to your guests? square measure aiming to be back yet again as typically as achievable to analysis new posts.
