"To err is human but to forgive is divine" Yes a popular saying of which I know you must have heard from someone, especially when trying to advocate for forgiveness for his/her self or for some one else. I believe in forgiving people just as it's taught in the Bible

".......forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us...."

We also understand that even if we are forgiven of our wrongs, we will surely face the consequences. For Instance if you are caught for arm robbery, you might be forgiven by those you robbed but consiquences are there waiting because when you are charged to court of competent jurisdiction, finding you guilty implies you are going to jail. As a matter of fact, any crime committed and proven guilty, you face some jail term as passed by a Judge. This scenario is an exact position of reaping what you sow which however is common in every facet of life.

I came across a very disturbing trending video about a female Judge who assualted an elderly woman coming out from a church in which this female Judge claimed this branch of a popular church in the country constitute public disturbance; to be specific "noise pollution" . Moreso in a third world country like Nigeria most of these public disturbances are just a day to day norm from AM to PM, 24/7.

As a country I know there are rules and regulations that govern such unavoidable occurances but it's rather unfortunate these rules and regulations are not effective because they are poorly enforced by the necessary government agency.

Now back to female Judge story, from the video, a policeman was narrating the incident to maybe a superior through a phone call he was making and from his narration the policeman was a first hand witness to this ugly incident. I kind of asked myself why didn't the policeman arrest the Judge for assault. A Judge is a well respected person in the society, I supposed the Judge should have known better if the church was constituting public disturbance. As a custodian of the law,she would have done the needful, by pressing charges against the church or make a public complain to the necessary authority because she lives close to the church. Story as it the Judge was actually making video recording of the church when this elderly woman was leaving the church and she told the judge to stop making video recording of her as a result, exchange of words occured and there the Judge slapped the elderly woman which made the elderly woman to fall to the ground; I guess the Judge lost her temper on this very occasion.

I don't want to call out who is right/wrong here but we should understand the action of the Judge was uncalled for "To whom much is given, from him much is expected" Yes....this what the Bible actually said. The Judge didn't think before she acted, she played down on her position in the society, a big blow to her legal profession. Nothing should have warranted her action. I could understand she was equally angry because of this unfortunate incident but she crossed the line and I believe there are consiquences to this.
As African, it's so uncultured for a young person to assualt elderly person irrespective of your position in the society; you give them their due respect.

Final Thought

Never let anger control you or make you to act; because it might bring you to a place of regret after the anger must have gone down Some one once said "Don't take decision when you are angry because it might not be the best decision"
Decision(s) taken when in angry mode most often turns out to be a mirage scenario, getting closer to it shows how farther it appears, never in reality and can't hold any volume of water. I won't encourage taking decision(s) when angry because it can cause more danger one never envisaged. Life decisions are not taken in haste,it takes careful planning and systematic execution.
