Identity Eating System

As a complex set of tools, the human creates an identity surrounding his conscious physical and mental choices. I call it an ego-identity because it needs to be fed regularly to function. The size of the ego depends on the person itself. We all feed our identities by seeking validation for who we are. You either seek validation from sources outside of your consciousness or within it. A person who seeks its own comfortability with who he wants to be is more conscious and self-responsible. People do not discover themselves - they simply create it. Seeking to know thyself is wanting to know what your body, mind and soul is capable of. The ego-identity is the created outcome from the potential of the human. So we discover the potentiality and create our "self" within our own image by choosing which road to take.

The problem with personas

I personally hate the part of our ego-identity. I acknowledge the fact that it is necessary for us to have some sort of identification but mostly we are too caught in it. Don't get me wrong - we all need a name and some basic identity differentiation. We need to know who is who. The problem is in the imaginary feeding of the ego by boosting its current actual image. As individuals, we like to talk about ourselves, to listen about us and to seek validation for what we are. That settles us to a specific mindset that is well defined by our surroundings. The community around us is in charge because we seek to speak, listen and be approved by others. If we want to speak about us - we do not want to seem different, because we would not be accepted by our surroundings. We would hear words who simply will crush us, making us lost and misidentified. The person being rejected by the community would hurt himself mentally by thinking he is not a sane person. This on its own would simply stop evolution and put boundaries around one's "self" stated by its current state of surroundings. Most individuals who prosper to make a change have simply been alone because the community crushes the individual by projecting thought patterns which do not support growth.

More problems occur when we settle to just one position of choice and surround our ego-identity around it. Personally, my goto strategy in life is to simply experience all kinds of creative work, to create and choose one main field but not be bound to it. I see our identity as not so specific, meaning that we do not identify as something that we always do because that kills diversity. That is why I like writing, you could write about pretty much anything and that gives me diversity. Even with me being associated with writing - I dabble in so much more creative spheres that I cannot simply just be called one of these and I do not want to. Being associated with one particular thing kills creativity, play, the fun of life and the overall meaning to it - experiencing the full spectrum of our potential.

I wish to see a higher percent of people changing themselves more often, just so they try new things and stay "alive". Our identity should be centred around our current state of being and not the monotonous all time choice. Simply saying that we associate with one thing for now because we try it or have an idea with it but we are not bound to just that one particular thing. That creates a whole spectrum of interesting people to talk to about their experience and gain knowledge based on THEIR choice. Which goes onto the main problem and solution surrounding identity.

The corporate eating identity structure

Let's imagine that a person of higher power and thus gigantic influence creates a "trend". What happens next is caused by our pyramid structure of power - the higher the influence the more it will spread to lower influential people. Meaning that it would direct the way individuals act based on the "coolness" of the trend. It would automatically spread like a virus which provides a huge amount of power and control to a little percentage of people. This creates a gigantic problem.

Taking youtube for an example, we see that their whole algorithm is centred around a continuously changing trend. Things that are now popular would spread and be boosted by the site, making more people see it in their recommended section. The concept of continues changing trend is fantastic but the problem is in the power structure. Channels having a huge amount of followers can create whole trends which change peoples identities. Even tho they consented to it by doing the trends, a majority of people do it unconsciously because it is the current "cool".

These channels having a massive amount of audience would increase on the go. The more followers a person has, the more he/she would gain - meaning that the distribution of power is unequal. A small percentage of people would have huge amounts of influence and they would keep getting bigger because of the number of followers they have. What these influential people do will project on their followers making them do what they have seen. Changing their whole identity.

Corporations, bankers or elite members of our current society have used people in high influence positions such as actors, entertainers and so on, to deliver a message and further program the general public in a specific way. Sometimes the high influence figure would actually unwillingly spread a lie that they believe in, making a massive disaster occur. The followers of a celebrity unconsciously do what the celebrity does, mimicking it so to gain the desired result. People trade their free choice following an idea that has been designed beforehand. We lose our identity in this big ocean of following someone else's image.

Choosing to copy an already designed idea would rip off your freedom and replace it with the consensual following of someone. Most of the time we do that unconsciously because we are conditions to do so - we do not observe if the idea we copy is for our own benefit (meaning - health, safety and mental progression) or it makes us further away from any sort of truth, evolution and overall an improvement of "self". Don't get me wrong, there are things which do not bring any danger if followed - if you copy someone's hairstyle or so - but there are definitely issues with copying someone's opinion on something just because the person has fame. Critically observing the issue should be more of importance if we want to find a solid truth in it.

We always consent to the actions we do. Unconsciously or not we have chosen to do something and if one's self wants to better control itself - the person needs to explore his actions and results to know what he/she is doing, realizing how to redirect them. Being mindful of every mental or physical action would rip to pieces the autopilot worshipping of "idols".

If we as a society want to further evolve - we need to bring diversity back into being a trend which means that we need different ideas and paths followed by people. Diversity of ego identity does not bring evolution, meaning that a person creating is ego-identity can call himself many names and create a unique persona but the very acts of ideas are of importance. Speaking about identities would not result in anything but followership, but if we talk about ideas - the outcome would be a diverse spectrum of resources to tap into - experiences, results, problems surrounding the idea and so on, which spectrum would allow us to make a concluded decision that suits every single one of us.

The high influential figures are self-centred which projects outwards and gets picked up by their followers. If they were less of an ego freaks, we would see how more people are going to think for others and everyone would benefit from that. Helping each other would make a whole circle that in the end would help "you", meaning that we all will benefit. In our current society, we see that this is not the case.

So we have to change, step by step. Every individual should provide uniqueness. New ideas are the future. Keeping the ego comfortable to a constant change and improvement would benefit the consciousness that creates it. The persona should stop worshipping idols which promote the self-destructive lifestyle and the non-beneficial mindset. If we were to all sit on our desks and do nothing, just be entertained by doing stupid things picked by highly influential people - the world would be consumed even more into its own void of problems surrounding the whole environment. We need more than ever to act upon our own calling and self-decisions or we would cease to exist. Life is in danger of extinction, solving these problems that are all around us first start by sorting our identities and priorities. Acting on ideas which benefit everyone are more important now than ever. Fighting the identity-consuming machine is going on in our mind every day, in our life. You follow or you begin to control your whole life? Ask yourself that. Thank you for reading. Have a nice day. Love <3
