At the same time, mythology is a science that states how mythical stories, fairy tales, stories that do not fit into real life, how they develop, how they flourish, what they express, their faith, and the thoughts of scholars who grow up in this field.
Greek mythology is the whole myth and story of Ancient Greece. Greek myths have had profound effects on the art, morality, religion, family organization and political life of the people living on the Mediterranean coast and Aegean region, which is the cradle of civilization.
The creation of the universe and the birth of the gods
The first thing the ancient Greeks wanted to learn was the creation of the world. They wanted to know how the Earth, the sky, the sea, the light, the water and the air were created. Because of the lack of sufficient information, they began to examine all these things and other natural events as living beings. They counted the Earth and the heavens and the waters as gods. They gave them a human form.
According to this, Khaos expressed vast emptiness and darkness, which were mixed and unformed. Gaia(place) is the basis for everything with large breasts from Khaos. Then the foundation of love, Eros(love) was born, the symbol of Multiplicity, which draws all beings and everything together.
Erebos (night) was born from Khaos. They joined together to give birth to aidher, the light of the upper layer of the Earth, and Hemera, the light of the Earth. After the light came into being, the creation continued without stopping. Khaos gave birth to them, and Gaia gave birth to Uranus, the sky, which is the place of the Immortals and adorned with stars. He gave him his own greatness in the sky so that he could cover himself completely. After that, Gaia high mountains, harmonious waves formed Pontas (sea).
Thus, after the universe appeared in the field of being, it was necessary to make it live on it and to make it last for a lifetime. So Gaia joined Uranus, her own son. The Titans were born from their merger. There were twelve of them, six of them were male and six of them were female. These Were Okeanos, Koios, Krios, Hyperion, Iapetos, Kronos, Theia, Rhea, Mnemosyne, Phebe, Tethys, Themes.
Later Kronos married his sister Rhea. As a result of this marriage Hetia, Demeter, Hera three girls named Hades, Poseidon, Zeus three boys were born. Kronos swallowed every child Rhea gave birth and kept it in her stomach. Rhea was able to save Zeus from his hand alone. Rhea wrapped the stone in her kundak diapers and gave it to Kronos. Kronos swallowed this stone right away.
Zeus grew up among the dense branches of forests. As for the age of maturity, Zeus came out of the cave where he was hiding. He vomited the stone and the gods he swallowed from Kronos. Then he threw him out of the sky, and threw him into the bottom of the earth, beneath the bottom of the Earth and the bottom of the sea. Zeus settled on Mount Olympus with his wife Hera, his children, his brothers and other gods, and began to reign.
