I'm a huge fan of Tim Ferriss. He can be a bit controversial, but he does a great job of opening my mind to possibilities. One of the things I've been pondering for the last few days is this quote from him:

“The question you should be asking isn’t, “What do I want?” or “What are my goals?” but “What would excite me?”

That's a good question. I don't know about you - but I personally fly by the "What do I want" question and head straight for the "What are my goals" question. And I have so many answers to that question. I have ALOT of goals. Income goals. Writing goals. Parenting goals. Relationship goals. I'm great at making lists and creating a strategy to achieve my goals.

But rarely, if ever, do I stop and ask myself "What excites me?"

This shouldn't be a hard question to answer, but I get so caught up in the little details of what I need to do to attain my goals that I often lose sight of the big picture.

So, what excites me...? That's the million dollar question.

Right now the limitless opportunities online excite me. So much is now available that was unimaginable just a decade ago. Crypto, tech, the internet - I don't even know which direction to chase and that excites me. The thought of making enough money in a location-independent way that leaves me open to see the world....that excites me. The thought of raising a child during this amazing time of change and growth and opportunity....well, that excites me.

What excites you?
