Lies and News

why do the news papers and other news sources lie so much yes I get it with the biggest lie gets more views, but wasn't it the job of the news to let us know what's happening in our communities and the world, when exactly did it become a struggle for power. The news are so blatantly liars so why do we even listen to them any more some people even believe them, I didn't watch the news or read papers for four or five years and at the end of it the world was still here, amazing.
