RE: The 911 Tragedy

in #life7 years ago (edited)

"At least 3 peer-reviewed papers have concluded there was evidence of unusual option market activity in the days leading up to September 11 that is consistent with investors trading on advance knowledge of the attacks."

I have always said this is the smoking gun. Options trading prior to the incident was (iirc), 4-5 standard deviations outside the norm.

This is proof positive (mathematically) that various parties had foreknowledge of the event. More investigation should have been done into this at the time.

Teamsteem, have you come across any claims/reports of a SAM-site shutdown at the Pentagon on 9/11? I have heard claims that, against Pentagon SOP, all of the SAM sites on top were "turned off for maintenance / 'no listed reason'". This would have rendered all the anti-air defense ineffective.

I haven't been able to source any corroborating information on this topic. It may be hearsay.

Resteeming this one. Great piece! Huge, high quality summary with tons of cites and links.

I think I heard about it. I'm pretty sure I heard about it but I don't think I ever heard this from any first hand source.

Here is some information with similar claims. Their conclusion is that this is hearsay, because there appears to be no corroborating evidence:
