Priming Your Subconscious For Success

What if…

The-Healing-Power-of-the-Subconscious-Mind.jpg

What if you could feel extremely physically healthy? What if you could live at your peak physical state?

What if you were mentally strong? What if you controlled every thought that came to you, so you ensured you only allowed the most empowering ones in?

What if you were spiritually in tune? What if you could sense when something was off instantly, through the strong pull of your intuitive self?

What if you could step into and embody your highest self?

We all want to improve our lives. We each are striving for more fulfillment, for bigger goals, for that next level or the next step that will bring us to that higher point of happiness.

Then why do we so often fail?

Why do we know what’s best for us, but all too quickly veer off path and break the promises and commitments we’ve made to ourselves?

How can we conceptually understand something so well, yet consistently struggle to put it into practice?

Herein lies the power of the subconscious mind.

Our subconscious governs around 80% of our actions. Eighty percent. This means that even if we are consciously aware of something, our underlying subconscious force is so powerful that more often than not, it wins out over our conscious efforts to change.

This means that our subconscious patterns – the actions, thoughts, and beliefs that have been governing our life – are so deeply rooted, that conscious actions to revert them are oftentimes not enough.

Yikes.

So what is our solution?

We must rewire our subconscious mind.

While there are several mechanisms one can employ to rewire their subconscious, here is one specific exercise one can regular do to assist in shifting the nature of one’s deeply rooted thought patterns:

The “What If” exercise:

The exercise is simple and straightforward. If you’re someone’s who’s actually serious about changing their life, I want you to take out a piece of paper and follow along with me:

At the top of this piece of paper, select three areas of your life you would like to improve, or three different goals you are working towards.

Then, create a “what if” statement as if it were true:

“What if I was in my peak physical health; I exercised and meditate every morning, ate a clean vegan diet, and had a regular yoga practice?”

“What if I was extremely comfortable speaking on stage; I traveled the world presenting on topics I am passionate about and inspired and moved people from across the globe in this process?”

“What if I took the hip-hop class and became really good at dancing, so much so that I was comfortable performing in front of an audience.

There is no limit to where you can take this. In fact, the more specific and detailed you are, the better the outcome. And let your imagination run wild here!

Brainstorm as many as you would like and choose the top 3.

Every morning, during your morning ritual, state these sentences out loud. I like to state them at the very end of my morning meditation session, while I visualize them as clearly as I can. Alternatively, you can record yourself saying these statements out loud. That way, whenever you are in transit, you can play them to yourself. For an additional bonus, repeat them to yourself right before you go to sleep. This is the most optimal time to prime your subconscious mind for success.

Practice this for a week. Then for another week. Who knows, your subconscious mind may just become more comfortable with the idea of you stepping into your higher self.

How far can we go?
