What Will I Do With My Life?

in #life7 years ago

A slight bump in our life and we start whining, why does it always happen with me.

You can give up your hope to live; because of a minute loss in the business or a quarrel with your loved ones, and you will not understand the importance of your mortal life.

Why should we waste our time crying over minor loss, when we can do better good to ourself and to others in the future.

I have witnessed two such examples in my life, where people took control of their lives in an extremely worse situation.

The first example is of a guy who used to study with me. He was good in sports, education, almost a perfect kid in his early twenties.

One day, while enjoying with his friends, he passed out, ended up in a hospital and found out that he had blood cancer.

Everyone who knew him was shocked to know this, and ought to be, when you discover that someone you know is suffering from a dangerous disease, you would be too.

So, did he gave up the hope, to live?

He could have given up and cry his life out, when all of his friends were enjoying their teen years, he was suffering from a life-threatening disease, spending months on a bed in a hospital.

But he didn't gave up.

He was always strong-willed, and he believed that he will live through this and enjoy his life like a normal person.

After a few years of treatment, chemotherapy, he got out alive.

Then he recovered with his full strength and completed his studies, got an outstanding job and is still enjoying life.

This is where I noticed that people are not extraordinary, they just believe in what they want to do.

Another person who faced even worse circumstances in life, was a guy in his early twenties, a terrific guy, who used to love us when we were kids.

And one day, we heard that his whole family had a car accident, his parents died in it.

He was alive but lost both of his legs; he could not walk again in his life.

Life could be tragic, one day it was complete, full of joys, another, it is just hollow.

But for him, that was not the end of life.

Life could be hard to him, but he was harder and stronger.

After a few months, he started working as an assistant manager at a nearby paper mill industry with the help of one of our neighbours.

Like he used to say, I may have lost my legs, but I still got my mind to think and my soul to give me strength.

Now, in less than ten years of that tragic accident, he owns two paper industries of his own; a lovely wife and a daughter supports him.

If both of them had behaved normally, they would have spent their life in depression, and maybe were dead, long back.

But they didn't let the hard times win over them.

Even thinking about such a tragic incident creeps us out, let alone facing those undesired times in life.

When I think about people like these and the circumstances they had faced, and then compare my problems with them, I feel pity for myself; I am such a weak person to cry over petty things.

However hard situations are, life can still be beautiful.

We could still smile.

We could still figure out our way.

We still can win life.

@paps

Life is simple then.

Just don't lose hope.
It'll come your way!

@looftee brilliant post buddy

I live my life by this motto too. Never give up, always forward.

That's great.

My first reaction was to feel bad for the two people you talked about, but then it dawned on me that they don't need sympathy. They are bestowed with immense strength to overcome challenges and create a beautiful life for themselves. Positivity is a state of mind that some are naturally bestowed with, but it is an attitude that can be developed and strengthened.

Yepp, and you have got both positive attitude and strength.

With your positive thinking, you will achieve all your goals and nothing in your life can pull you down, I do believe that.

Thanks for saying that. :)

I am very shattered. Talk soon

sweet post. I agree, compared to others, our own life mostly isn't 'that bad'. but pain is pain, weather it be caused by a very tragic accident or some small issue. It is still causing pain. I tried for a long time to ignore those little issues causing pain, which infact caused me even more pain. it is the willingness to accept the fact that whatever causes pain to be true and heard. once we accept, we can go on. Acceptence happens, when we don't ask, don't try to change the facts or our attitude towards it. We accept when we let go of controlling it (feelings towards it, thoughts, etc.) Thanks for your post.
