Loose Change Project - Independent Launch 2017

in #life8 years ago

I did not think I was going to get this out - "On Time". Yet here it is, "The Loose Change Project".

I told several new Steemit Friends in comments that I was going to 'get this out', far from me to miss a deadline, even if it's potentially a rough 3rd Draft. I'm learning along the way, and hoping to read even greater content then I have so far, here on Steemit about writing & bogging. That said, Here's the what, why, how, when and for (and before I get to the conclusion).

Around Christmas time, I came up with an Idea.

One would say that I don't give up easily (this is quite understated in my estimation). I've spent the weekend "Mastering Markdown". Honestly I understand but what little I've learned, but enough to get this post out, and that is Great!

So, What is the Loose Change Project? It is a system of 'collection' or better yet Curation. As a semi-retired Chef...

When I'm not doing this...

I do this, as an "automotive detail Specialist"

...(lol) I clean and recondition cars! Nice Gig, no lie. As I stated in the Idea post from my profile account @hexdek16,

"So in the process of 'reconditioning automotive products' (cleaning cars) there is the 'byproduct' of "Loose Change". All those nickels, pennies, quarters & dimes that "Slip beneath, and under the seats". Couple that with a mathematical brain, various forms of 'scrap' metals and a 'beating Crypto-curriency' heart - tied together with a Minimalist outlook on life. You get a 6 Year Plan.'

I've hence, documented and processed all those loose coins, kept a record and 'Ledger' if you will, to track the success (or failure) of this Project. I choose something so minimal as loose change not to astound you with the concept of "Free Money", yet rather show you in a process that "Little Things Matter Much" over time and consistency.

I've transferred everything last night from my coinbase account to steem in this account, no funds will be added apart from any promotional opportunities that may happen in the future as a direct result of this account and project. These are the 'Fruits of My Labor'.

I work hard at gardening, cooking, cleaning and "Coin Collections". I thought about holding Bitcoin and trying to "market time" my transfers and funding. Nope! Just going to keep it simple, and invest (as it comes) in Steem. I believe in this platform and our community, I want to show you the "Harvest" after all this seed money gets planted.

Until then sit back, and Enjoy the Ride!

The 'Language" of Money. Interesting that so few listen to your words.

I forgot to give a shoutout to @igl00. I posted this on a new browser program that he reviewed: https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@igl00/love-bitcoin-and-security-start-using-brave-browser-guide Thank you!

I truly admire how you managed to see this opportunity. It is so easy to dismiss this loose change as being negligible, but it adds up quickly. The fact that you plan to invest it into this ecosystem makes it that much better. I believe this project will be a great success for you, and I hope to read more posts from you in the future.

It's been an interesting concept. Several new ideas have come in to 'play' since then, which will be included in future posts. As the project grows.

Very cool Hex... it will be interesting to see in years what the loosechange has become.
I was a "chef" for a few years. I cooked at 5 different restaurants in my late teens early 20's. Great life skill and I still enjoy it.

Nice! I started in my 20's right out of the Navy and have opened a few restaurants here in Bozeman, MT. (for others) Though after 25 years "the life of a chef" takes it's 'Toll' (so to speak) Now I only do wine dinners & Yellowstone Club clients on holiday. I plan on getting in some cooking posts on my main account, now that things are settled down and the holidays are over. [AKA The Busy Season]

I too can find spare change. You are very full of encouragement. You too have very nice cars.

Thanks. These cars are not mine, just ones I reconditioned for the owners. My encouragement to you - Get those Lost Coins and buy yourself some Steem Power. Thank you again for your participation in Steemit! :)

For anyone new at Steemit, I recommend this:

It helped me a lot with this post, and I will re-read it 5X and recommend it in the future. I can do so much more after reading this content!
