Virgin Hyperloop and BMW presented the concept of a new public transport that could soon be set up in the United Arab Emirates. It is a dome that will be applied on electromagnets and move through a vacuum tunnel.

Precisely because it is a vacuum tunnel, it means that there is no air resistance, and there is no friction due to electromagnetic levitation.

A new type of train should therefore move at speeds greater than 1200 kilometers per hour. It is the average sound speed and almost 300 km faster than the passenger plane. That is why experts estimate that the route from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, about 140 kilometers long, will be 12 minutes ahead. The car takes about an hour and a half.

The tunnel will be powered by solar energy, and the opening is planned in 2020. It is estimated that the dome will need to transport about 10,000 people per hour.
