So Where Is Waldo, Really?
I think that Waldo is everywhere. Whether it's on the page of a book, or in the mind of a child, Waldo has spread all over the world.
But where is Waldo, really?
Waldo’s location is hard to define. For Waldo it varies from page to page, but the location of the book can also vary. Even if I change the angle of the book I'm holding, I'm consequently moving Waldo. He's also at multiple places at the same time because people all over the world have Waldo books.
So maybe it's wiser to opt for a different approach to the question?
Investigating the reasons for his conception may yield more useful results. It's important to note that without the reader’s willingness to find Waldo, the demand for such a book wouldn't exist. So, Waldo is dependent on other people. The same concept can be applied to the author because Waldo never would've existed without him. So, it looks like Waldo owes his existence to humanity.
In particular, it is human curiosity that has allowed for Waldo to be published and become successful. Waldo therefore symbolizes curiosity. It's fascinating that a small fictional drawing can bring out so much interest and entertainment.
Waldo’s location was never important to me beyond the scope of the book. But when you look beyond, his existence serves as proof for some truly admirable traits of humanity.
