Another Adventure w/ @mauigold808 !

Winterland in Hawaii

Yes! We get snow in Hawaii. The winter months here are from November to April, that's when we get most of our rain. After a heavy rain storm you can look up to see the snow on top of the volcano. On this adventure we're going up Mauna Kea. Standing 13,802 ft (4,207 m) above sea level, its peak is the highest in the state of Hawaii.

There's a little bit of snow, and it's clear up there. Let's go!

Big Island has many different climates, and it changes very quickly. We're traveling via Saddle Rd to Mauna Kea

Comfrey are amongst the few plants that grow at the higher elevations of the volcano

Here is an amazing view from Mauna Kea of Mauna Loa. Mauna Kea is the largest dormant volcano in Hawaii

Great photos! It's crazy that I've actually been to Hawaii but not a single picture to show for it. LOL! I need to go back!

Ha! Good means you enjoyed your time here and gives you a reason to visit again :)

Definitely! :)

Incredible pics. It's actually a life goal of mine to ski/snowboard on big Island. It would be so sick to tell people I went skiing in Hawaii. Do you know if people are allowed to go on mauna Loa?

Mahalos, and Rajah Dat, the summit is still open to the public
