Two Roads in Life. The right and wrong paths.

in #life7 years ago

I believe when we are children our lives are destined to be decided by what roads we walk on. At the beginning of life the difference between choosing to walk on the right road versus the wrong road is difficult to decipher because we are young, inexperience and in some ways naive.

The reality is I stepped foot on the road that I should not be and the consequences I face is everything I fear most. Common sense should gather enough information for you to know what is right from wrong. I simply got on the wrong road when I was young and now there is nothing I can do but face the punishments to come.

For my life there were points in time that I believe I had the chance to make things right. I do not know why I never did what I need to do to make it one path. I had many opportunities to do the right thing and stay the course yet I did not take them. Why? I simply was in my own little bubble and having no understanding of everything and everyone around me. Simply put I am an idiot. (Likely need some mental help.)

The point I am trying to make is to tell others find what is right and always choose that. It is easier to live a life without hurting yourself or others. In situation where you can not determine what is right from wrong then don't continue walking, but find help. Nowadays there are so many resources to all kinds of knowledge on the internet. You can reach out to people all across the globe if necessary. Or better yet simply as the older generations.

Once in awhile talk to someone a lot older than me I think really helps in putting life in perspectives. A neighbor, someone you admire, or scholar. Just talking usually helps and talking to people that are willing to give advice is even better. Do not think you are the only one when you decide what road you walk on. Everyone has the same choices.

Just remember once you find that you are on the wrong path do everything you can to lead yourself back into the right one. The longer you stay on the wrong path the more consequences there are. Just my personal experiences.

Thanks for reading.

Knowing the right and wrong path in the moment can be difficult and sometimes impossible. Hindsight is ruthless because it seems to obvious to us now the missteps we took. We didn't have the advantage of learning those lessons we know now when we were taking those steps previously. Being on the wrong path sucks, not know you are on it sucks, but like you said, once you find you are on that wrong path getting off it is important. I think you were right to suggest in talking in talking to people we trust because getting off the wrong path is important, but we need to make sure that we are not stepping on to a even worse path. Clarity is hard in the now and easy when looking back. Getting an outside perspective can help identify those changes and course corrections that need to be made.

experience in life will help teach what is right and wrong. It is the person's choice to make as to what to do. Be upfront with the mistake and never repeat it. Indeed it is easy to say but harder to do.

Nice word of encouragement

glad you think so. Thanks for dropping by.

In your case, you should pick the path that has a bus travelling at speed towards you, and put yourself out of your misery :-)

(it's an in-joke people, he'll know what I'm talking about ;-)

I done that before. Where I live we still do not have a full Casino yet so I go on buses that drives us to other states like Connecticut. Those buses literally go full speed when coming to our stops. I swear if I even get hit by a vehicle it will likely be because of that. Most times I am miserable at the end of the trip because I lose money. Oh well. I have to stop.

yes, you need to stop being miserable ! ;-) lol
