At the age of 15 Prince Jahan had a good education, learned grammar, logic, mathematics and astronomy, mastered Arabic (the language of the Koran) and the Persian (the language Of court ) at such a young age, one day the young prince fell in love. His eyes met those of the princess arjumand.

Impressed by her beauty, she decided to give him a diamond necklace that she was trying out at a jewelry market, immediately conquering the princess's heart, as time passed, not very agreeably, the prince had to accept The rules of marriage that indicated that he had to wait five years to get married, a time which they could not see even once .... Finally the wedding took place in the year 1612 in which like emperor I appoint to arjumand mumtaz mahal, the chosen one of the palace.

After being crowned emperor a few years later, suffered the worst tragedy of his life. His beloved wife muntaz mahal could not resist the birth of his fourteenth son and died. It is said that before dying she asked four wishes to her husband and they were: That he was a good father, to marry again, to build a unique tomb in the world in his memory and that every year, on the anniversary of His death, to visit her.

So great was the sadness of the prince after the death of the princess who locked himself in his palace and for many months lived away from the world and the people. Shortly after overcoming the pain, he returned with strength and made the decision to please the last desire of his beloved wife.

After striving to the utmost to be the most beautiful monument that anyone could imagine and from that promise was born: taj mahal.

The taj mahal is a mausoleum (a funerary monument). It is located in Agra, a city in the north of India.

Legend has it that its construction needed the effort of some 20,000 workers working day and night and 22 years to complete it. Considered the most beautiful example of Mogola architecture.

(Sha Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal.)

When Sha Jahan fell ill shortly after the death of mumtaz mahal, it is said that he spent the rest of his days looking out the window at the Taj Mahal, after his death, his son Aurangzeb buried him in the mausoleum next to his wife, Forming the only break of the perfect symmetry of the whole.

It is also said that after completing this architectural work the emperor made the workers cut off their hands so that no other work could ever be seen.

Although it was built with bricks, it was covered with white marble that was transported by hundreds of elephants and was decorated with all kinds of precious stones brought from the most exotic places of the world.

The Taj Mahal is a walled complex of buildings that occupies 17 hectares and also includes a large mosque, a guest house and gardens. Described as A tear on the cheek of time, the Taj Mahal is a symbol of the history of India.
