Depression, how much it poisons life, both to the person suffering it, and to its relatives. This, a fairly serious mental disorder, is usually associated in the minds of most people with a depressed mood, which is why they often describe depression as any deterioration in their emotional state. However, the painful state experienced by a person who is plunged into a real depression is much more serious than just a bad mood.



Major depression symptoms

  • Significant weight loss or gain (a change of more than 5% of body weight in a month)

To the typical (basic) symptoms of depression, we can attribute the following symptoms: the already mentioned drop in mood, a pessimistic view of everything that is happening around, low self-esteem, loss of taste for life, negative judgments, loss of strength, impaired thinking, motor retardation. These are the main symptoms, there are additional symptoms, they will be described below. However, without them it is clear that there is little to enjoy in depression, this is really a serious mental disorder, definitely in need of treatment. You should not allow this disease, put a cross on your life or on the lives of your loved ones. A person suffering from depression, definitely needs qualified help, and, the earlier it is given to him, the better. After all, if this help is not provided in time, the probability is high that the depression will become chronic, which means that in the future it will be much more difficult to cope with it. Therefore, if you or your loved ones, suffer from depression - do not delay, contact specialists and get rid of this infection as quickly as possible.
Depression can spoil a person's whole life, career, relationships, dreams can ruin him, and even take life away from him. You understand, if life is not nice, then why hold on to it.

These thoughts about death are especially dangerous, because, unfortunately, depression sometimes does end for a suicidal person. Therefore, I repeat: depression must be treated, or independently, if you know what and how to do, or with the help of a specialist. Human life is above all, and no illness should deprive it of this life!


But why this very depression in general arises, what provokes it? The causes of depression can be very different, everyone suffering from a person's depression can have their own reasons, because of which he fell into depression. I would not seriously talk about the hereditary nature of this disease. Neither my personal experience nor the experience of many other specialists allows us to assert with full certainty that people whose relatives have suffered from depression are more inclined to it than those who had no depressive relatives. Sometimes you can find such a connection, but only sometimes, and not always, so you should not sin on your relatives. The person who has been overwhelmed by depression must search for the reasons for its occurrence, first of all, in himself, he must deal with his life and his thoughts. Some researchers associate depression with a violation in the sphere of interpersonal relationships, which can drag on from early childhood, such a person who has childhood traumas is constantly on the verge of depression. And when something bad happens in his life, any troubles, failures, tragedies that knock him out of his rut, he immediately falls into depression. There is also an opinion with which I completely agree, according to which, depression is a consequence of both psychological and biological problems. When the harmonious, balanced work of our body is disrupted, we inevitably begin to develop various diseases, including depression.

In combination, all of the above reasons, as well as many other reasons, can lead a person to a depressed state. And it is not so important, in fact, which of the reasons made a greater contribution, compared to other reasons, that a person fell ill with depression, because all these reasons are of secondary importance. I believe, and I have a reason for this, that the most important reason causing depression is a person, this is his propensity for this disease. And what kind of person, in your opinion, dear readers, is most inclined to depression? A weak person is more inclined toward her, you will agree, weak, morally, spiritually and physically. Also inadequate people who do not understand life flying in the clouds, are very prone to depression, looking at this world through rose-colored glasses, which, in principle, we can attribute to their weakness. Inadequacy is a weakness, because people living in a world of illusions are defenseless against the real world, which makes them thrilling and at the same time disappoints them.



Why I say that the main cause of depression is precisely the person suffering from it, but because most of the depression is the result of a person's reaction to some external event, the situation. This is an internal reaction of a person to an external stimulus. This depression is called reactive depression. And we can react differently to various external stimuli, to various events and situations, depending on our character, world outlook, the level of intellectual development, on our understanding or misunderstanding of an event, as well as on our readiness or unavailability for that or Other situation. In other words, depression is not the same for everyone, we can experience it in different ways and in exactly the same way we can be cured of it. Weak people are more likely to be depressed than people with a strong character, and therefore the problem for them is precisely their character, which they need to strengthen, and not some external event, a situation that has caused them depression. A person should have psychological immunity to depression, then no external stimuli can force him to fall into it.


  • There is a so-called monoamine theory, according to which the development of depression can be associated with a deficiency of biogenic amines. This may be a deficiency of serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline. For example, some people may experience depression due to a lack of bright light, if they are constantly in darkened rooms or because of the sunless weather. This kind of depression is also called seasonal depression, in autumn and winter it is especially often observed in patients. In such cases, suffering from seasonal depression can be helped by light therapy and ordinary walks in sunny weather.

  • Often, the side effects of many drugs lead to depression, for example, it can be benzodiazepines, corticosteroids, levodopa. Passes such depression, as a rule, independently, some time after the termination of reception by the person of the preparation causing it. All kinds of psychostimulants, such as alcohol, cocaine, sedatives or hypnotics, can also cause depression, especially if they are abused. Well, as you understand friends, not taking harmful for your psychological state of drugs and stimulants, you do not risk falling into depression, so keep track of what way of life you lead.


But let's say that you fell into it, into this very depression, or your loved ones suffer, what can you do in this case, how to help yourself and others get rid of it? The first step is to find out what caused the depression. Without an understanding of the cause that caused this problem, it is impossible to properly deal with its effect, that is, with the problem itself. Suppose that the cause of depression was the death of a loved one, or the loss of work, money, or social status by a person. The attitude to such events can be different, and consequently, the reaction of a person to them can be different. It is not at all necessary to react to such events, often occurring in the lives of many people, too painfully, although at first glance it seems that nothing else remains, that the internal state in such cases is formed in a certain way by itself, and we can not control it. In fact, this is not so. We are able to control everything, including our reaction to all kinds of external stimuli. We only need to understand what our convictions are, force us to react to some events in one way or another. Or, what beliefs of another person compel him to react in a certain way to this or that external stimulus. A close and very dear person died? This can be treated differently, you can regret someone who has died, you can feel sorry for yourself, as someone who has lost someone who has died, and you can accept this death as the norm, because people tend to die, one earlier, another later, this is a natural phenomenon in This world. In some cultures, the death of a person is not a tragedy at all, it is a holiday, since death symbolizes a person's transition from one world to another, because the death of the old is the birth of a new one. So why should we perceive death so painfully, why do we make ourselves worse by our wrong attitudes? Because we want so much, or because it's so accepted? What, in this case, is the result of depression - from the actual event that triggers it, the situation, or from the life attitudes of the person and the reactions they generate to this or that event, the situation? Do you understand where the dog is buried? Of course, in my turn, I also understand that it is not easy to change a person's views on certain things, but when we do this, when we explain to ourselves and other people the meaning of this or that phenomenon, we greatly simplify ourselves and their lives.


The loss of money, work, social status, a quarrel with a loved one, various physical trauma - all this is not a reason to fall into depression, because of this, even upsetting is not worth it. Why? Because any changes in our life are not only natural, but also compulsory, they push us to discover a new reality for ourselves, and not rot in our old swamp, regarding stability as the highest grace for man and society. Therefore, we are not talking about merely changing a person's attitude to what he can not change in reality, as a relatively simple way to get rid of depression and, in general, from any kind of experience. It is also about the ability to influence these or other processes and about ways of allowing something to change. We do not need to change this world, to make it right for us, we need to understand why we perceive it the way we perceive it. When we carefully study the cause that caused depression in a particular person, we study the person himself, we study his character, his worldview, his weaknesses. We try to understand what is wrong with his outlook on life, why he is so detrimental to his psychological health, perceives this or that phenomenon. If the young guy fell into depression because his favorite girl left him, then we understand that we are talking about a weak-willed guy, unsure of himself and not understanding his capabilities. This is his lack of understanding and weakness of his character - and are the true cause of his depressed state. It's not a girl's business, it's about a guy, his weakness and self-doubt, and it's his personal qualities that should be dealt with, relieving him of depression so that in the future he does not react so painfully to such things.


A lot has been said and written about depression, many useful and useless things. But the main thing that I think we all need to understand is that depression is a disease of the mind. And our mind is largely a reflection of our reality, which, in my deep conviction, provokes depression. No wonder this, the most common syndrome (a set of painful manifestations) of mental illnesses, some people call the disease of civilization, which makes people unreasonable demands, as a result of which it simply burns out under the influence of significant psycho-emotional overload. I do not think that the problem of depression lies in the very civilization, I believe that it lies in the imperfection of this civilization, I hope that the temporary imperfection. But one way or another, everything has its own price, including that of the civilized way of life to which we are all accustomed.


Our view and opinion of course, also depends on the world that surrounds us. And it, in turn, forms our reactions to various external stimuli and the mental processes that are going on in our head, which not infrequently lead us to a depressive state. Some people fall into depression because of one very simple and very common question they ask themselves - what is the meaning of life? Does this sense consist in living according to a certain scenario, in the same way that everyone lives, how to live, how to live, or simply to live? Or maybe in something else? From the answer to this question much depends, on it depends the satisfaction or dissatisfaction of a person with his life. The mismatch of real life with what sits in our head is a very big problem for many of us. We are taught to live according to the script, we are taught from childhood what is right and wrong, and then we ourselves squeeze ourselves into the framework of right and wrong, fearing to go out for them. And at the same time, we ask questions about the meaning of life, when this life itself is not threatened. But you work from morning till night on the field, as the peasants used to work to feed themselves and their families, and I'll see what your depression will be, and whether it will ever happen. Or live in such conditions, when your life is constantly threatened, when not to depression, when you need to think about how to survive, and not about what to live for. In general, the connection between the disease we are considering and the way of life that we lead, and its connection with civilization, is certainly there. Therefore, in order to combat depression, it is necessary, including with life, to do something, to change it somehow, to refuse something from something and to strive for something new and more correct. If in most cases depression arises from our reaction to the outside world, then we can conclude that since this disease is widespread, then our world is not all right. However, we understand this without depression.


But back to a man who, if not cool, but still is the root cause of depressive disorders, which obviously will not be a person - there will be no depression, you will agree. So, a person - you need to do strong. It must be done with a strong mind, spirit and body, so that it does not hurt anything, including depression. A strong person can always defend his interests, which gives him self-confidence, he is able to satisfy all his instinctual needs, what we all need and what we all want. The world view of a strong person is arranged in such a way that he always and everywhere is looking for opportunities, and not justifications for his failures, he does not pass before problems that have been, are and will always be. A strong person can survive any shock, any failure, any blow of fate. For depression in such a person simply does not have a place, she will not have anything to catch on in his energetic and purposeful mind. That's it is for this purpose that my entire site is aimed, my consultative-therapeutic work is reduced to this - I do people in all possible ways, strong people. I am absolutely sure that a clear, clear understanding of the person how life works and how the world we live in, and his propensity for constant learning make him truly a strong person. Awareness and understanding are the basis of all strong qualities of a person. I can even say by myself that the more I understand in life, the less I have worries and worries, not to mention the lack of any kind of depression. You see, we all have much more reason to enjoy life, and not to be sad and hate our life, and even less to hate the whole world.


Depression? how it affects

Depression affects unhealthy, weak minds, weak in spirit people who do not know how to handle problems properly and do not know enough about life. Emancipate, explain, enlighten, help a person understand all his abilities and encourage him to develop them - that's what my main task is when working with people. In this I see not only a way to save a person from depression, but also in general from all the psychological problems that prevent him from living effectively and happily. We are not to blame for the fact that we see this world in a certain way, much in our views on life - it's not really ours - it's someone else's. But we must understand that the opportunities that each of us has and that can turn us from a withering plant into an active, cheerful and motivated person - we must use it. Do not indulge your weakness, then we will be sick less.

The depression was known even in ancient times, but in those days there lived people who were strong in spirit, and it was strong people, brave people, clever people, wise people, active people and their actions who remained in history, myths and Of the legend. Do you know what that means? This means that we, people, respect power, and we tend to be strong, because life is in power, strength is progress, development. And weakness is a disease, it is degradation, it is an unnatural state for a person, with which one can and must fight.


THE CURE

  • Any depression can be cured by any person! To do this, you just need to set a goal - to make a person stronger. I did not have one that did not cure depression, there were only people who did not want to treat it correctly, who only tried to treat it, but did not treat it. There is such a category of people who like to hurt and suffer, and some of them do not even realize it. Such people are difficult to help because they do not want to help themselves. But if a person goes to the end in the treatment that I offer him - he is cured of depression, no matter how heavy it may be. When we work friends, no matter what problem, and not a fool, we will necessarily get the result we need, sooner or later. So even in the treatment of depression you need to show character, a person should be disgusted with his weakness, in order to be able to solve any of his problems, at least with outside help, even independently.

  • I have rarely seen a depressed state in successful people, and it is more often found in people who are not successful. And do you know why? Because successful people are people with a character, people with a head on their shoulders, they are energetic and purposeful people, in a word - they are strong people. And we should all be like that. You can, of course, continue to write thick books on this disease, in terms of depression, after all, if the problem is urgent, then what not to raise around it too much noise, in this world, a person with a problem is someone's bread with Oil. Only now, I believe, it's not entirely human, for our civilized world - to cash in on the serious problems of people.

  • Our weakness is our enemy, friends. Our weakness is the lack of immunity to many mental illnesses and psychological disorders, including, of course, depression. Modern civilization softens the person, makes it "greenhouse", with a bunch of problems and complexes. About not responding to the reality of education, I do not even say, it is generally capable of ruining a person, even without giving him the opportunity to feel in himself at least some forces. Well, to a weak and undeveloped mind, as well as to a weak body, naturally, various illnesses stick. Depression is one of them.

  • Become stronger my friends, develop, learn, communicate with clever and energetic people, change your worldview, if it does not correspond to reality, set ambitious goals and achieve them, overcoming difficulties! And then you will not be depressed, and any blows of fate you will bear with dignity, no matter how heavy they were.

This article is so timely after several suicidal incidents of known celebrities. Made me question how they were'nt able to reach out for help, then it comes down to what you said above. Sad but true.
