Today, despite all my student activities, I decided to write an article related to National Suicide Prevention Week. You may not know it, but this week represents the hope of helping others. This week aims to speak openly about what suicide is. Yes, this subject is still very taboo, but it is extremely important to talk about it.

Like most of us, we knew people from near and far who committed suicide, these people lived a great suffering and did not know how to get out and find the strength to get up again. I want to say to all of you, listen, be present for the people you love and if you have doubts do not hesitate to ask them good questions and be direct in what you say.

People thinking of suicide need to see a light at the end of the dark tunnel and I think they have a lot of well trained people to help them and give them all the tools to get up and smile again. I would also like to explain that sometimes these people have so much on their shoulders that it does not take much to act.

Love each other and above all make a difference in people's lives by listening.

If you have a doubt about the safety of a loved one you can call the suicide prevention center closest to you to receive information.

With that, make a difference and take care of yourself. See you soon.
